do you mean for kids?

Nim's Island was cute, so was Kit Kitredge. We took the kids to see KIng Fu Panda and they laughed the whole time! National Treasure 2 wasn't made for kids, but it was a really good family movie. Oh, and an oldie but goodie is Christy!

This is a good one. This site may help you find others.

I saw the movie, Unidentified on the site that LuAnne mentioned above. It was the #1 best seller on that website in 2008. It is under "Prophecy/End Times" or "What we Recommend". It is priced at $17.97 on that site. I saw it awhile back. It was pretty good.

I saw Facing the Giants When it first came out. Also, my pastor showed (those who wanted to see it) the movie after church last fall. I plan on seeing, FlyWheel. On TBN they occasionally show a Christian movie called Between the Walls. It is a good movie for those who have gone away from the faith...and, then return. I loved it! It also deals with hypocrisy in people. And, more importantly, "true"...Christian friendship. I found it very entertaining.

While not a specifically Christian movie, one of the most inspiring and edifying movies I've seen is "God's and Generals". I can't watch that movie without feeling the need to spend more time in prayer and to put more effort into drawing ever closer to our Blessed Saviour and live by His Word in all aspects of my life.

The movie is also the most historically accurate movie available dealing with that particular subject and time period.

Ah, yes...God's and Generals. A Civil War movie. What an aweful time period that was, John. Blood brothers fighting against, blood brothers. The worst war that this nation has ever fought, in a sense, b/c of the north against the south. Nation against nation. :sad Doesn't that movie star Rober Duvall and Jeff Daniels? It is also a prequel to the movie, Blue and Grey if I am not mistaken.

The movie is a prequel to "Gettysburg", and yes, Robert Duvall and Jeff Daniels are in this movie. I don't recall his name, but the man who portrays General Thomas J. (Stonewall) Jackson does an excellent job. When he prays I can almost "feel" the prayers!

One of the great aspects of the movie is how historical it is. Most of the wonderful Christian words spoken between General Jackson and his wife are taken from historical accounts and are the actual words they spoke.

If find the historical aspects, while very good, to be secondary to the great Christian witness and testimony presented in the movie.

Yes...thank you! Gettysburg. Blue and Grey was a 4 night mini-series. I believe.

Well, with this in mind...the "historical aspects" and "Christian Witness", I would categorize this as an awesome movie!

BTW, I remember being in "Gettysburg" as a young child a couple of times with my family. That was powerful...and, I will never forget it. Also, the only civilian that was killed, Jenny Wade. A bullet went through her front door while she was sewing. Being there...was just so exciting. They have a great college called "Gettysburg"...practically, on the battlefield.

Gettysburg College is Ron Paul's Alma Mater. :thumb
I went to a rally of his in Gettysburg just before the PA primaries.

That is so cool! I applied there and got accepted. They had this type of "Honor System" though, that made me nervous. If you were caught cheating or just "wandering your eyes" (which I tend to look into space and daydream) a student could turn you in for cheating. Anyway, the professor left the room ALWAYS during every exam...and, I just didn't trust my future classmates. LOL.

The college was awesome! There is so much history, there...I really loved visiting the several times we went to Gettysburg as a family in our trailer...and, then to visit prospective colleges in PA and on the East Coast.

A rally would have been so much fun. I love those kinds of things. You meet so many interesting people. Did you meet Ron paul? BTW, who is his VP candidate? I haven't kept up with him in awhile. I have been (of course) following McCain/Palin, and Chuck Baldwin, and Bob Barr. I have to check him out, again. I actually like Ron Paul.

I have a question, C.S. Lewis ....... is my topic. I had for a long time had a thing for Sci-Fi stuff. Star Trek, Battlestar Galatica, things of that nature, Now I've heard two different things on C.S. Lewis. I know everyone agrees that he was an atheist, but they question his conversion. Should one read and watch the movies based on his material ? I've even heard people, spoken christians, slam The Passion of the Christ. I have not seen it. I've just read about it.

I really like the movies. Caspian is my favorite so far. It was full of allegorical content that was blatant to anyone familiar with the principals of Scripture. It was fascinating to see the parallels in it.

He doesn't have a veep cause he didn't make it past the Republican primaries. :wink
As to whether I met him...

I should have figured that out about Ron Paul not having a veep. LOL. Kevin...this is so funny, but my hubby and I think that you look a somewhat like our son, Mark. :smile What is even funnier, is that I told you once about how you remind me of my second-oldest brother? Mark is just like my brother. I have always joked around and told people that I sometimes feel like I am raising my brother. :smile They have basically the same personalities, interests, temperments, etc...etc. Well, people say that I am much like my second-oldest brother. So...I know that is why "Bob" and I clash at times. hehe. You know...we are like twins...3 years apart?
