When No Allergy Is Bad...

I am one of the lucky people who are not allergic to poison oak.  Casual contact with its leaves or infected clothing never bothers me.  This you would think is a wonderful blessing from God, but...Since I am not allergic to the stuff, I don't pay attention to where I am stepping or what I am walking through when traipsing through the woods and therefore I always get the stuff all over my clothing...which I then transfer to anyone who comes in contact with me, or sits where I have sat.  I am a walking poison oak carrier and now everyone (except those "blessed" like me) avoids me like the plague.  Some won't come near me until I can show them the ashes from burning all my clothing I wore this weekend.  Now I know how the lepers felt in bible time stories.

You're not serious, are you? Burning clothes?!

On another note, apparently my phone thinks that 'serious' should be spelled 'Euripides'. :frog:

My two sons and I cleared out an old fence row years ago; lots of weeds, vines, small trees and general overgrowth. I've never been effected by poison oak or ivy or anything else so I didn't think anything of it.

In a matter of hours my oldest son was broken out and itching from head to foot! By the time he was finished putting calamine lotion on all those places he looked almost totally pink!!

Neither myself or my youngest son had any prOBlem. My wife stayed away from our oldest son until he cleared up; that left me to take care of him until then.

Well, at least now we now our oldest son is allergic to such!
