This is not to debate but to find the views of KJV Only advocates.

Why is the KJV 1611 perfect and not the Geneva Bible which came out before the KJV and was one of the most popular translation among the pilgrims. There are differences by the way between the 2 even though they are both based on the TR.

The King James Bible correctly says "Easter" in Acts 12:4. At least some editions of the Geneva say "Passover" instead.

And the route of the word Easter? And when did it make it's first appearance and what associations?

Is the word "Easter" a Greek word? Yes..I know that it is pagan in origin, but...I was just curious. Thanks in advance. =)

Go to Greece today and you will find "pascha" is their word for Easter. It means both Passover and Easter. Passover was already passed (verse 3).

So if the Greek word "pascha" means both Passover and Easter; what would be the big issue you are making of it in the various translations?

That is what I thought. Thanks, Samer. =) This is interesting information. I love origins of words. :fall:

I already learned something new from this thread! I started taking weekly Greek classes so it was interesting to find out ????? stands for Passover and Easter. A Google search of both ????? and Easter validates the statement.
