Young girls send me friend requests on face book. I check to see if they could be sincere. Most are ?

So I send them the following message but don't delete their friend request till they have a chance to respond.

Because I care

John 3:16-18

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Romans 10:8-10

8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;_

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Romans 6:23

23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Amen, to those scriptures Eric!  Just a thought, though.  Maybe, these young girls are looking for a father figure.  When I was on Facebook, I was friended by a couple of young men from Muslim countries.  They didn't practice Islam, rather they were in search mode.  These young men were my son's age and a bit older.  That would be 22.  I liked it b/c they referred to me as Ma'am and my husband as Sir.

'young women' pics on facebook are usually disgusting men on the other end going to start sending you porn pics to get you to subscribe to their porn. Or viruses if you open their links. put your settings on only friends of friends can request you as a friend otherwise you're only inviting trouble. why leave door open for satan to come in? at least put a lock on it!

Good intentions can still have bad consequences.

What exactly do you wish for them to respond back to you with?  Or do you pray they read the scripture you have sent them?

I leave my friends request open to anyone who wants to request being friends, however I visit each person's page before accepting or declining.  Their page must represent Christ in their posting and use of any social media.  I have met some good quality Christians and had the opportunity to witness to others via social connections, praise the Lord for this way of sharing, learning and testifying about Him!

I get those too. I just delete them unless it's someone I know. Somehow I don't believe the last one I got (couple of days ago) was looking for a father figure. Good idea though.

I got a friend request from someone who was already a friend.  I thought she was starting a new page, so I didn't check into it.  It was my friend Beverly...

I confirmed and then said did you start a new page?  "She" answered "yes, dear, how are you?"  Well...my friend Beverly does not speak like that, so red flag...I then asked how things were going.  She said "we are doing fine..."  Ahuh.  Ray's dead, but they are both doing fine.  Then "she" sent me a message that "she" had received $100,000 from facebook for helping people.  Baruther...So I looked for her real page.  Sure enough, she'd been hacked.  I blocked the phony.  But isn't that just sick?    Some people just have too much time on their hands and no conscience!

I also got a friend request from a friend who passed away in September of last year.  I thought that maybe one of her family was keeping up her Facebook page....but apparently someone had "hacked"/cloned my friend's page, so I blocked that person. Hackers are all over the internet!

I believe I have visited my Facebook page once, maybe twice in the last 12 months or so.

I become disgusted by what some of my friends say & post, along with being disgusted with many of their photos. I'm been seriously thinking about deleting my Facebook page, & I'm still thinking about it yet have no made up my mind on it. I joined Facebook several years back before it was so popular, it sure has changed, & not for the good.

Its amazing at what many on Facebook who claim to be Christians will comment about, articles they will post, pictures they will post, not the lest bit Christ like.

So, why delete the account?

Start using your page for things that are Christlike.  Post Scripture, pictures that speak truths concerning the saved.

Be a light to those who are in error and in darkness.  You never know who you could be reaching.

Quite a few of my Facebook friends post scripture and inspirational-type posts. Some post conservative politics(if they post otherwise I delete them). But if even any of my family post offensive and vulgar stuff, I delete the post and if they continue to do it I "unfriend" them.

Regarding the opening post, sounds like a scam. Be very careful.

As for my own Facebook account, it is there for family and select friends only.

Can you use that as an opportunity to witness to unsaved friends and family?  Out in life in public buildings, stores, ect. we can be in the vicinity of someone who uses improper language or a saved person who is not walking in the light and it is an opportunity.  Facebook offers electronic opportunities.

I personally do not unfriend family or friends that post things not proper and scriptural.  I have hid a few items and through my own wall use scripture or write concerning areas where people are stumbling or getting muddy in the pits of life.  Those who are my friends who might not be saved have not all blocked my posts so I know they are at least reading some of it.

Just my two cents anyways......
