Does you state require an ID? Mine does, its been a while since i voted, but they ask for an ID, which I always showed my drivers licenses. The only thing silly about it is that those that ask me for my ID are younger than I & have known me all of my life.

I gave several options, & you can vote for more than one.

I have never actually voted in person so never had the need to check on the laws. I would hope New York State required some kind of ID but wouldn't be surprised if they didn't...

It just purely get me when I hear Democrats talk about this, it seems everyone of them says, 'Having to prove who you are will keep people from voting.'

Them if its about counting votes they say every vote should count, regardless. It seems to me by the way they speak about this they're encouraging voter fraud, while fearing if ID has to be shown illegal voters will not get to vote.

I've never had to show an ID. In this small town as soon as the ladies see me coming they start turning to where my name is in the book because they already know who I am.

Dems don't want voters to have to show ID because they get many illegal votes.

Voter fraud is rampant, and it's not just Chicago. There are districts all across the country that are well known as being totally corrupt in how they handle elections. It's one of those unspoken secrets because both Parties do this and neither wants to blow the whistle on the other unless a case somehow becomes so obvious it has to be mentioned. Even then they lie, call it an isolated incident, blow off a lot of steam of indignation, then the media moves on and it's back to corruption as usual.

Here in the past, you did not vote unless you had the ID, no respect of person was shown. Even if someone knows you, if they fail to ask & see your ID, when it is required, that is breaking the law & not being responsible for their position.

I don't think showing an ID is required in this state. I've never been asked and never heard anyone asked either. The most I've heard is when one of the ladies doesn't know who is standing before them and they ask what their name is. Then they look the name up in the registered voters book, mark it, give them their ballot and send them on.

It's law here in Indiana, and I think a good one. The poll where I normally work is in a trailer park that is mostly older people. Other poll workers know most of the folk who come in to work. More than once someone has said, "you know me, why do I need id?" The judge has always answered that it is the law - and she doesn't let them go to vote until they have their id. (I'm glad, cause I would have had to pull rank as Inspector and I don't like having to do that).

I think each state should institute voter id to stop the corruption. Poor people can get them free. There is no real excuse for not having one. Accountability creates an atmosphere where the corrupt cannot get away with things. Interesting that unions have to have id to vote, but Dems are trying to say it's unconstitutional to require it for elections. Stupid!
