What is beyond the bounds of God's control? Is not God Almighty?

With my limited mind I can't explain, or really fathom it all, but somehow God is able to control all things even while allowing free will. God knows the beginning from the end. God knows what we will do before we do it and is able to work all things together so that His ultimate will is done.

If this were not true we couldn't have full confidence that the end will be as Scripture says. If things were to go on for thousands of years, beyond His control, then how could He make all things come together as He desires?

Somehow there is free will and God's control at the same time. Perhaps it's somewhat similar to parents with their small children. The children have free will yet the parents can impact the direction so their will is ultimately done.
