Who are these seven Spirits? I've never taken time to study this...anyone else?

Revelation 1:4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

Interesting question, the number seven is in 31 verse of the book of Rev. In perusing some commentaries, it seems that it is either referring to Jesus Christ and His completeness or the Holy Spirit. It isn't angels or the churches, for these seven Spirits never kneel before the Throne of God, good indication that it is either Christ or His Holy Spirit, which would make it Christ anyhow.

Are you saying that Christ and the HS are one.

Well, I know that they are all one yet three.

Yes, it was interesting when I ran across it and somewhat perplexing.

I'm looking at these and trying to see what it is not and maybe what it is will be revealed. They are of course 6 verses and 3 separate sentences (just stating the OBvious now).

Revelation 1:1-6
Sentence 1
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

2 Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Sentence 2
3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Sentence 3
4 John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

5 And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

6 And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Maybe someone will take a look at this over the next few days and provide more insight.

I have always heard it taught, that this refers to the Holy Spirit.

I can't see the seven as God the son or as God the father. I'm breaking out the names and references as I see them appear in these verses below.
God the Son:
vs.1 Revelation of Jesus Christ
vs. 2 word of God
vs. 2 testimony of Jesus Christ
vs. 4 him which is, and which was, and which is to come
vs. 5 And from Jesus Christ
vs. 5 the faithful witness
vs. 5 the first begotten of the dead
vs. 5 the prince of the kings of the earth
vs. 5 him that loved us
vs. 5 washed us from our sins in his own blood
vs. 6 to him be glory and dominion

God the Father:
vs. 1 which God gave unto him
vs. 4 him which is, and which was, and which is to come
vs. 4 before his throne
vs. 6 unto God and his Father

God the Spirit:
vs. 4 from the seven Spirits which are before his throne

The churches:
vs. 4 the seven churches which are in Asia
vs. 4 Grace be unto you, and peace

John:
vs. 1 unto his servant John
vs. 2 Who bare record
vs. 2 all things that he saw
vs. 4 John

The reader (audience, i.e. Christians):
vs. 1 unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass
vs. 3 Blessed is he that readeth
vs. 3 they that hear the words of this prophecy
vs. 3 keep those things which are written therein
vs. 6 hath made us kings and priests

Angel/s:
vs. 1 by his angel

It appears to me to be pointing to the Holy Spirit. The part of vs. 4 "him which is, and which was, and which is to come" I believe might be attributed to all three but particularly Father and Son.
