Easter is a holiday of satan.
http://www.lasttrumpetministries.org/tracts/tract1.html

Wrong!

I insulted satan. Superman is satanic.

A satanist is anyone who rejects even a single verse of the Scripture, including through interpretations. I am sure you weren't called that without basis. There is no compromising when it comes to belief. You either believe or you don't. Period.

None of the above is condescending.

Regardless, I will do the right thing and completely ignore you from now on, woman! You need a good Biblical lesson on woman's place within the Godly scheme of things.

Well, man, you can ignore me all you want, but to your own peril on this forum. :icon_mrgreen: (and that's MRS. Woman to you. :biggrin: )

Oh, I absolutely was called that without basis - just as you have no basis to infer that Rick is a false Christian, nor to spread your lies that 1 Tim. 2:15 is teaching women have to have children to go to Heaven. I do believe scripture - it's you I don't believe.

BTW - I do know women's place...it's too bad you don't.

Calling born-again believers in Christ "heathens",

Scripture commands us to judge. That's how we know who is a true Christian (born-again believer) and who is a false Christian, in the name only.
disciplining your wife with switches...what Scripture supports this?

First and foremost, it seems you need to partake in a good study of the women's issues in the Bible. Disciplining your wife is a complex matter that has to be approached with great care as to not go against Eph 5:25 and other similar commands. For once, we know that women are easily deceived and led into error. (Genesis 3:1-6; 2 Corinthians 11:3) As husbands we are to love them, so it is our duty to keep them in line. There are many ways to do so, but one of such ways is give to us in Matthew 5:30. Put it simply, we must do what it takes to keep Godly order at home. We must also do it with Love, and never with spite. As such physical punishment by switches is certainly more appropriate than using the full force of Matthew 5:30, though the later is clearly a Biblically acceptable option.

Matt. 5:30, "And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast [it] from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not [that] thy whole body should be cast into hell."

Tom, you make Calvinists look real bad.

But hey, can you vote for me under the "best background" theme? Here's the link, oh, John Calvin is cool, so vote for me.

I've studied the women's issues, men's issues, marriage issues, etc., and none of what you posted from Scripture says husbands are to "keep them in line". You have failed to post any Scripture that says husbands are to "do what it takes" in order to keep order in the home or to have their wives comply with them.

You proclaim to be about following the Bible yet you also proclaim that which the Bible doesn't say. Worse yet, you promote what the Bible doesn't say at all.

It seems that I have to go slow here. So I'll try and resort to the "Jesus method" of education, that of a guided discussion.

A question: Does the scripture tell men to love their wives?

Why not just use the Bible and post the Scripture which validates what you have put forth? That would suffice just fine.

Aside from the ignorant rejection of Calvinism? Which heresy does he preach?

Is not one enough? Bible talks a lot about heresy.

How many sins do you have to commit to be a sinner?
How many lies before you are a lier?
How many heresies do you need to preach to be a heretic?

I'll go slow for you, the answer is ONE. :icon_mrgreen:

The Bible says stay away from them and yet you are holding hands with them.
Romans 16:17 - Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them
Titus 3:10 - A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject;

You can't choose which heretic you are going to embrace and which ones that you are going to separate away from. That is unless God gave you special permission that He did not give the rest of us.

You do not need to go slow here. The Lord has given me a fairly sharp mind, even for my age.

Romans 16:17 - Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them

Steven Anderson does cause offences, but not divisions. Thus he qualifies for the Biblical Love of rebuke.

Titus 3:10 - A man that is an heretic after the first and second admonition reject;

This verse is just so often taken out of context!

Titus 3:9-11:
But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.
A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject;
Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself.

I sent Pastor Anderson only one "admonition" so far. I am waiting for his reply.

By your own comments either Pastor Anderson or yourself cause divisions based upon acceptance or rejection of Calvinism.

You say Anderson is a heretic here, but now you say that he causes offences not division. You called him a heretic then hold his hand.

James 1:8 applies here.

This verse is just so often taken out of context!

If anyone know anything about taking verses out of context, well you get that award. :laugh:
I'm not sure how I could have possibly taken a verse out of context when I did not even explain the verse. :)
I understand what the Bible says in Titus 3. I have had my own conversations with Anderson.
