She should get the jOB as Chief Foreign Correspondent to Russia, after all she's an expert in Russian Foreign Affairs after being Governor of Alaska (being in such close proximity and all you know).

trc - did you read her book? You might find it enlightening as to what she was saying and how the media twisted it. Alaska is close to Russia - you can see it from there. And Russian jets have been known to fly into or very near Alaskan air space. Any governor of Alaska would have to deal with that. Something other governors wouldn't have to deal with because they are part of the contiguous US.

I've been to Alaska and I've flown in to Alaska. I've seen Russia from my flight into and out of Alaska. I've worked on US Fighter jets and have seen Russian fighter jets flying in the sky. I've had to deal with all of that.

I'm therefore a foreign policy expert!

Now let's get real. I like Sarah Palin, but let's face it, her answer didn't address the question and was an attempt to make her experience with foreign policy matters bigger than it was. She got caught looking like a "little league" ball player on the big league stage.

Actually, her whole answer wasn't shown. And what you did was admirable - but you weren't the governor of a state! You didn't have to deal with quite the same thing...

Let's face it - noone's got all the answers, but the media did a number on Palin, making her seem like an idiot. In her book, she freely admits that she allowed her annoyance to get the better of her during a couple segments of Couric's interview. And the interview was not presented complete.

I knew that would push some buttons........lol

Have you read her book? There are some answers in there...

Maybe my button was pushed - I don't think so, but that's okay. I don't quite see how wanting to be fair to someone is having a button pushed. :wink

They wouldn't like my solution for jihadist Muslim Terrorists and the States that support them. lol

I think she is not near as smart as many of her followers think her to be. I know saying that will not make myself many friends, but that's the way she comes off. I feel rather sure John McCain and his advisors quickly found that out.

Sure, that 1st speech she made as a candidate for vice president was good and presented good, but she did not have the knowledge to back it all up.

Of course she was no drummer than OBama.

I really don't understand how someone can think she's dumb! She couldn't have been a successful mayor or governor if she were. But then, there are alot of people who think Dubya's dumb, too.

Read her book. You might be surprised.

Sarah had two main prOBlems during the presidential campaign.

Sarah likes to answer questions simply and in simple terms; or put another way, she likes to give brief, uncomplicated answers. This served her well in Alaskan politics but in national politics, and especially with her being a Republican and taking on the mantle of conservative, the national media wasn't about to accept such answers and were more than willing to use such against her.

Worst of all, McCains camp failed horribly to properly prepare Sarah. Now it's been argued by the McCain camp that Sarah rejected the necessary tutoring and Sarah has denied that. Either way, it was the McCain camps responsibility to ensure Sarah was properly prepared for debates and interviews before allowing such.

Along with this was the McCain camps failure to utilize Sarah's strong points.

Sarah didn't have a broad knowledge of foreign affairs and policy. The vast majority of governors don't. It takes a great deal of preparation to bring most vice-presidential candidates up to speed on such. McCains camp failed to do this.
