a Baptist Minister, Anthony Craig, posted this on his Facebook page... THINGS GUARANTEED BY GOD AT THE INSTANT OF REGENERATION 1. My salvation is fully accomplished (John 19:30). 2. I have eternal life as a present possession (John 5:24; 6:47; 15:11-13). 3. I have Jesus Christ as my present possession (1 John 5:12). 4. I know the one, true God (John 17:3; 1 John 2:3; 5:20). 5. I have been saved by His grace (Eph. 2:1-10). 6. I have been justified by His grace (Titus 3:7). 7. I have passed from death unto life (John 5:24; 1 John 3:14). 8. I have been quickened (made alive) by God (Eph. 2:1, 5; Col. 2:13). 9. I have been made fit for heaven (Col. 1:12). 10. I have the for…

Brethren, Here is a good article about Congress, maybe, eventually getting some good definable impeachable Presidential offences. It is about time some of our elected officials start obeying the Constitution and impreaching presidents, and other elected officials, when they disregard the rule of law. http://www.thenewamerican.com/usnews/constitution/item/20660-congress-considers-defining-decrees-wars-as-impeachable-

I wasn't sure if I should put this in the Computer forum or here...I chose here. Anyway, we are leaving for a vacation soon. While we're on vacation, I will need to pay a bill online using my phone. For extra security (since it will be used on public Wi-Fi), I've installed a VPN app. Having never used one before, I'm a bit confused as to what to do. Operating the VPN is simple, but I'm not sure how it works...here is what I THINK I should do... Turn on the VPN and let it do its thing and make its connections. Then open my web browser and do my business.Close the browserTurn off the VPN.Does this sound right? Since I'm new to this VPN business, I thought the VPN would may…

From the "Unusual names" Department: (found on BeenVerified.com) Living on Vancouver Avenue in Portland, Oregon, is someone named "Ham Burger". Yes, this is an actual person. Stranger still, also living at the same address is a "Cheese Burger" Now, why would anyone want to name their children "Ham & Cheese"? LoL

Day one of classes was today at my college, and boy did it start out with a bang! The biggest bang coming from my Economy 201 Micro-economics (institution/firm or family economics) professor. The professor started lecture by giving us our term paper subjects or people to write about, due at the end of the term. He started listing major influential economists of history going back to ancient times, and those still alive today that we could base our thesis on. Then he made a profound statement (that instantly decided my choice) that I think would be fun to discuss in this forum. He asked "who was the most famous socialist", after getting various answers ranging from Ka…

Russia blocks world’s biggest porn site for endangering childrenMOSCOW, September 15, 2015 (LifeSiteNews) – Russia blocked access to Pornhub – the world’s biggest porn site – as well as 10 other pornography sites this week after a court ruled the sites were breaking the law. The Russian government’s communication watchdog Roskomnadzor announced Monday that a court in the city of Krasnodar ruled that the websites had violated federal laws protecting children from “harmful information.” The court also ruled the adult sites illegally produced and distributed pornography, although it’s uncertain what precise content brought about the ban, according to The Verge. Pornhub has a…

....again. Guy just cam in the showroom, left hand in his pocket, asking me if I make "funeral invitations". it's a sign shop, y'all. After very politely directed him to a couple of print shops. he took the hand out of his pocket, thanked me and left. Maybe he wasn't but the ones who ask if I fix radios or provide computer tech support make me even more suspicious. Haven't been held up yet but maybe I look too poor to have anything worth the trouble. Thank the Lord.

I can't believe nobody has reviewed this? i would guess almost 90% of new believers believe in the pretrib rapture and that we must bless Israel as a nation if we want God's blessings. Dear pretribbers, If God is going to save most jews in end times, doesn't this prove they won't be nuked? So why must we protect them? I'll admit, this realization that I'd been duped my entire life took a major open mind. I was still skeptical after the first time I watched it, after the 2nd time I was convinced in replacement theology (christians have replaced the jews). Why did it convince me? Well, it has genetics, historical church views, but really what convinced me was the bible. I…

I am 59 years old, and for the last 30 years I have been disabled because of surgery that removed part of my left leg. I praise the LORD, every day, for the pain free life that He has blessed me with “all these years” and continues to bless me with today. I have had a section of my prayer list for years, where I have asked the Lord to keep delivering me from pain and suffering, in specific areas of my body. And recently as I have been developing some “age related” twinges of pain, I have been unsure as to exactly what, I should be asking the LORD. A few days ago, I started to reluctantly ask for the Lord to “stop my body from wearing out”: Not doubting that He could do…

I've started this five times and changed my mind four times over the last 2 days (under various titles and bodies). It's a fairly well established 'fact' that everyone knows how to run the business better than the owner, the county commission has only idiots on the board, any one of us can pastor better than our pastor, everything either gets done too soon, to late or not at all, etc. Some things on OB work themselves out, some get ironed out by OB members, some are only temporary frustration, some get discussed behind the scenes. Sometimes the rebuke is public, sometimes via warning, sometimes via PM. Some are done by Bro Matt, some are done without Bro Matt's knowledg…

Since the last time that I posted sermon links in this manner seemed to be received favorably, I am posting some again -- "We Acknowledge Our Wickedness" (http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=22714192090) "Do It for Thy Name's Sake" (http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=227141932202) "Therefore the Lord Doth Not Accept Them" (http://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=316151513357)

Purging America's HeroesBy Patrick J. BuchananTuesday - September 15, 2015 With that kumbayah moment at the Capitol in South Carolina, when the Battle Flag of the Confederacy was lowered forever to the cheers and tears of all, a purgation of the detestable relics of evil that permeate American public life began. City leaders in Memphis plan to dig up the body of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest, who is buried in a city park that once bore his name. A statue of the great cavalrymen will be removed. "Nathan Bedford Forrest is a symbol of bigotry and racism, and those symbols have no place on public property," said council chairman Myron Lowery, "What we're doin…

Schools Now Pushing Soft Porn for Tweens, Islam for All KidsThis new school year under expansive Common Core curriculum and standards testing, children will have data collected by the government about behavioral and mental aptitude, not their test scores. No matter what a governor or state school board might claim, if the state receives federal money in any form, it is participating in data collection without parental consent. Parents have the constitutional right to opt out their child by filling out this form. And the Exodus Mandate is encouraging and providing resources for Christian parents to do more than opt out, but to exit the public school system altogether. Two …

Kim Davis vs. Judicial TyrannyBy Patrick J. BuchananFriday - September 11, 2015 "If the law supposes that, the law is a ass — a idiot." Charles Dickens gave that line to Mr. Bumble in "Oliver Twist." And it sums up the judgment of Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis about the Supreme Court's Obergefell decision, which said the 14th Amendment guarantees same-sex couples the right to marry. Davis refused to provide marriage licenses to gay couples lined up at her clerk's office and was sent to jail for five days by a federal judge for contempt of court. Good for her. We need more like her. For behind her defiance are more authoritative sources than the five justices who gave…

A funny thing about my birthday,... i am in Mississippi, where it will not officially be my birthday for two more hours. 12:15 AM September 9th. I will be 56 years old. However, I was not born in the United States. I was born in Libya, North Africa on September 9, 1959 at 12:15 AM their time. This means, that although I was bon the 9th of September, and it is now 10:15 PM here in Mississippi on the 8th, i technically am five hours into my 57th year of life. LoL

Earlier today I was reading something a pastor had preached on and it sounded pretty good until he got to this: He claimed Calvin is the biggest influence in virtually all the churches today (he seemed to be speaking of American churches) and he said the following doctrines came from Calvin and were not found in Scripture. "Certainly the doctrines of predestination, unconditional eternal security, and penal substitution had to come from sources other than the scriptures. I challenge anyone to teach such things by referring to Scripture alone. It cannot be done without referring to the writings of John Calvin, which are not scripture." This preacher wasn't limiting his com…

I figured some of you might be wondering about my username. Growing up my husband didn't have a father (he passed away when hubby was 4 years old) and his Mom had to work to support the family. They grew a large garden, she made their own bread, and when hubby got older he would hunt and then he and his best friend got into trapping. In the 70s there was good money to be made in selling fur. Well, after graduation hubby went into the Marines and left his rural life behind. He has lived in cities every since, and is a frustrated and misplaced mountain man. Every fall he would talk about how the change in the air gave him the itch to start preparing his traps. When o…

I am trying something new. If it works, you will know. If it does not work, then this posting will have nothing more therein; and this thread will be dead before it began. IT DID NOT WORK. ________________________________________________________________ I will now engage in a different method. It is not one that I prefer, and I will not likely engage in such again.
