I just watched a program about one of the gangs that was located on the Bus route in Oklahoma City when I was there. Some of the houses in the program were ones we picked up children from, I know I saw some of those vehicles...God sure watched out for me!!

I remember mine. His name was Tony. He was gorgeous. We were children of the seventies so he had long black hair that came a little bit below his shoulders and the deepest blue eyes you have ever seen. Man I was crazy about him. My parents broke us up or I might have married that boy. But I still remember that boy and smile when I do.

This Christmas is going to be quite hectic for me. First we plan to go to Philadelphia to visit my uncle, then we will proceed to New York City and stay there for a couple of days. After that, we plan to go somewhere warm, preferably Mexico (since it was AWESOME last year) and lastly we will stay at the cottage until the break is over. What about you? One of the very few years that we have seen snow on Christmas Eve in Southwest Arkansas, but we did. It began somewhere around 10:00 PM. Coming home from Linda's brothers house it snowed on us till we got to Murfreesboro, and many of the cars and roof tops had snow on them. But before we got to Nashville it had stopped, them started back just a bit right before we got home. That is enough snow for me this year.

I was just curious about numbers in your local church. My local church has a small congregation (approximately 100 per Sunday morning). I attend Decatur Chapel and the congregation is growing. Of course we would like to see more and we're planning to do some community knocking. If you know the numbers for sure could you post them for the Sunday morning service. Also, if they are Baptist please say so, the name would be great but not required. Decatur Chapel, Independent Baptist, 100 approx.

In my travels last week, I got a chance to finally read The Shack. As promised, here is my review. It?s very rare, in my mind, for a book to live up to the hype surrounding it. Likely that is because the intellectuals that read and review books are much better at seeing quality writing then I am. That being said, the Shack lives up to its hype, and then some. Ohio had a trifecta President Trump, Senator Moreno (R) replaced Brown (D), and NO on issue 1! From what I hear the nation also has a trifecta of republicans for president, senate, and house. I hope the opportunity isn't squandered. -
Many years ago I came across a sermon an IB preacher named Gary Dice when he visited Australia, and from memory he was preaching on this passage, or at least referencing it. He sang a slightly silly song about this section of Romans 7, but I have never been able to find any reference to it anywhere else. I would appreciate it if anyone has heard of it and could give me a reference or link to it, or best case, the sheet music. I know there are many songs that come up when you do a google search, but none of them have been the one I am looking for. It has the words almost direct from the KJV, not just something loosely based on that text. Thanks folks. -

I also noticed he seems quieter, perhaps more humble this time. But even last time I had come to view his particular tendency to boast as just having an immensely positive attitude. He's also careful to thank others and to offer credit where credit is due, while having no compunctions about calling out anyone who deserves none. -

Just to clarify on the repenting God did when Israel turned from their evil ways. The thing here is that their turning from evil ways here is called... works. So since salvation isnt by works ..and turning from evils ways IS works.. hence the issue with repent meaning 'turn from sin'. So there is what I was meaning. -

Thankfully the pastors I know NEVER STOPPED preaching the gospel. Remember, TGL, they're to preach the whole counsel of God, not just salvation messages. And just to be clear, preaching messages that promote conservative, Biblical values is imperative. Maybe one should let the Holy Spirit guide in what these pastors preach, eh?
