Just been watching "who wants to be a millionaire? on BBC and couldn't believe that an adult couple didn't know that Jesus was the person who gave the Beatitudes sermon. It just goes to show how we assume that people know some bible, but most don't know any? How sad is that? How does that reflect on us as Christians?

I know I am not supposed to believe in magic, but there are some rather strange things going on here! When I squeeze the toothpaste tube until I get the very last bit out of it, it seems to always be replenished the next time I use it! The tissue paper, when nothing is left but a tube seems to replenish itself with a new one before long! When the soap is so small that it breaks when I try to use it, there is soon another fresh bar in the soap dish. That’s not all, when I have worn my clothes until my drawer is almost empty, there is suddenly a full set of under clothes and socks, folded neatly in the drawer as if they had never been used and the bed? Somehow it g…

Does anyone know of a picture/painting of a city on the edge of a cliff, with the broad way to destruction theme? I've seen one of Quebec City and (I think) one of another city. I'd like to get one of those pictures because it reminds me of how serious it is that people need Christ. Does anyone know who makes a picture like that, or where to get it?

I know this is a sensitive subject, but I was curious none-the-less. Which is a bigger threat to Christianity and humanity - Catholicism or Islam. As far as I'm concerned Catholicism is a bigger threat considering all those little boys who got molested and the fact that the Pope is the False Prophet. However perhaps Obama being the anti-Christ is worse. Opinions?

Catholics Come Home 1 2 3

Has anyone seen the Catholics Come Home commercials on Fox News? In the commercial the narrator says Catholics compiled the Bible and they are the church Jesus started. The one I saw started out looking like it might be a Christmas commercial but it was actually this commercial reaching out to Catholics who have strayed or left the RCC, trying to bring them back into the fold. In the process they promote the myth we wouldn't have a Bible if it weren't for the RCC and the RCC is THE church Jesus started.

To Thee, my Master, I offer my prayer, Feed me, Water me, care for me, and, when the--day is done, provide me with shelter and a clean, dry bed, and when you can, a stall wide enough for me to lie down in in comfort. Always be kind to me. Talk to me--your voice often means as much to me as the reins. Pet me sometimes, that I may serve you the more gladly and know that my service is appreciated, and that I may learn to love you. Do not jerk the reins, and do not whip me when going up hill. And when I don’t understand you, what you want, do not strike or beat or kick me, but give me a chance to understand you. And if I continue to fail to understand, see if something is not…

Mr. Bro Matt, I would like to know why your standards are set to the point that you allow these people whom you put in charge to some degree to represent you in the manner that is far unacceptable to the Living Lord God Almighty or the teachings and commandments of his beloved Son Jesus the Christ. Now I know that you may or might just easily dismiss me as a heathen unbeliever complaining to you about those whom you love and greatly care about that you believe are the walk of God. But I am going to tell you right up from the get go so that the Lord knows I told you. I am a great friend of God. And do have great power with him. S…

While many are distracted by the elections, some thoughts from an atheist for 2012... I was surprised how much their rhetoric resembles arguments when people don't stick to the word of God. To read more go here. Another one of there continuing efforts... To read more go here. There new billboards are here. .

Who Wants War With Iran? By Patrick J. Buchanan Friday - January 20, 2011 On Sept. 21, 1976, as his car rounded Sheridan Circle on Embassy Row, former Chilean ambassador Orlando Letelier was assassinated by car bomb. Ronni Moffitt, a 25-year-old American women who worked with Letelier at the leftist Institute for Policy Studies, died with him. Michael Townley, an ex-CIA asset in the hire of Chile's intelligence agency, confessed to using anti-Castro Cubans to murder Letelier, in what was regarded as an act of terrorism on U.S. soil. Which raises a question: Are not the murders of four Iranian scientists associated with that nation's nuclear program, by the attachmen…

When you surrender yourself to Christ, the Holy Spirit will clean up your life from inside out. In other words, it’s an inside job that soon shows on the outside where we all can see it.

(To be answered in your heart, do not write out your answers. Be honest, even if it “hurts“) 1. Name three super models. 2. How much do you spend on television? (cable, satellite, etc.) --big screen tv? 3. How much do you watch tv? 4. What kind of programming (contract) do you have for your cell phone? 5. How many electronic “gadgets” do you own? 5. Do you own a boat, motorcycle, or snowmobile? --How much do you use it? --Does it own you? 6. Did/do you vote for economic reasons? Other reasons than spiritual principles? --Do you have a scripture verse for your reason for voting? 7. Do you have any close friends that are unsav…

In the past I didn't want to be involved and hoped I wouldn't be called. There are some reservations but overall I have a pleasant outlook toward serving this year. There may be someone out there who is hoping for a juror who weighs evidence in light of God's word; however, the defendant may prefer sympathy for some illegal act. I wonder what God has in store for me as a result of this opportunity.

To let you all know that I am giving up political issues and concentrating on my home, my husband and our marriage and I wanted to come back because I been let down with my Catholic liberal family resulting our Conserative Christian Biblical values of life and precious children, my parents mocked us when we said a few weeks ago at Christmas that we wanted to have children, they said they are burdens and I have no buisness having them, plus they only were talking on how evil Born Again Christians are and Baptists, I am so hurt by this but at the same time I am not shocked but its disapointing, my husband and I are in process of getting a house soon and we'll be residing st…

In the Christian life, we much lose to gain; we must give to obtain; we must be last to be first; we must be humble to be exalted; we must be least to be greater; we must die to live. Yet, how many of us do this?

I am leaving the online Baptist community Boards, There is way to much on here that really is not really friendly nor Christian like, I have avoided the boards for months even tho I was on the ladies boards, I only posted a few occsions on there, I am taking the overhauling of the board also a sign that I must move on in my Christian Path. Don't judge me for what I am about to say because this is how I been feeling for years. I don't feel like IFB Type Churches and Christians are right for me, Even tho I love the Sword of the Lord booklets and ministry and they are IFB , I am not wanting any part of IFB or King James only living no more. I have been making this d…

How many teach their children about to watch the sky for that mystical man in the red suit? Teaching them to believe in him, yet never teaching about the One who truly will descend from the heavens one day for His own. And I'm thinking many that call their self Christians that attends church services quite often.

Yes, I have a "strange" sense of humor. In our profile we have an opportunity to provide some information about ourselves in a "Bio" box. The little box appears it could hold about 4 lines of info. In the box we type what we might consider pertinent or interesting about ourselves. Immediately below the little box is the following "help" suggestion... Anyone besides me think it's funny that... (1) anyone's life story (with etc) would fit on 4 lines (2) or, that anyone's "life story etc" consists of a few short details (3) a Baptist could enter on 4 lines their life story etc Please don't take this as a complaint. I was searching for the reason I have to log on …

One of the new post/members made me remember something I wanted to ask. Nothing earth shattering here; I didn't write a book about seeing Gabriel sitting on my bedpost...sorry. Don't you love those sermons that give you some new and fresh look into the scriptures? What I mean is, when your pastor opens up the scriptures for you in a way that you had never thought of before. Or, brings out a point about scripture that makes you say..."I've read that but completely missed that aspect." or "WOW...I've got to go home and study that further!" We've had some real gems at my local church recently. They always drive me deeper and further into the word through study at home.…

I came across something new today (at least it is new to me): an independent Baptist church becoming chartered to have Boys Scouts and Cub Scouts as a ministry of their church. I also found out that an independent Baptist preacher wrote a book promoting this concept (it is available as a free download). What do you all think? By the way, what would you think if an independent Baptist church rejected King's Kids in favor of adopting Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts? (Yes, it has happened!)
