I would like to pass along an unusual experience I had about three weeks ago that blessed my heart and I would like to pass along the blessing. On Taiwan there are a huge amount of motorcycles. Due to the price of gasoline being very high, parking places very few, and traffic congestion also high, they are smaller in size than in the US (most of the them are from 50cc to 125cc). Also, unlike most countries, they park them on the sidewalks and every place imaginable. Almost always there are people coming and going on the motorcycles, and, as usual, there are people just sitting on the motorcycles either waiting for someone or just idling time away. While passing …

1 Corinthians 9:13 Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? 14 Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. 15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void. 16 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! 17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against…

I don't know if this is an appropriate topic for this forum, but I found it to be quite informative. It poses some questions to people who are soul searching--and can be used for witnessing to the lost. Am I A True Believer? In this brief study we want to consider the important, soul-searching question: Am I a true believer? To help you answer this question, consider the following questions. Think about each one in an honest, personal way. Take time to look up the Bible verses that are given along with each question. Ask yourself: Who am I really trusting for my eternal salvation? Do I see myself as a guilty, lost sinner who stands condemned before a holy and righte…

In the Book of Luke, we find one Anna, who "departed not from the temple" but stayed there and prayed and fasted "night and day." Yes, the Bible says she "served God": Luk 2:36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity; Luk 2:37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. No doubt she was criticized for not going soul winning! She did not seem to teach Sunday School, or to work on a bus route. She simply prayed, and fasted so that th…

Hey, I'm going to start using an old blackboard that's about 6'x 8' when I preach out in the park. Once I get it, I'm going to replace the casters with baby buggy wheels so that it's easily movable. Now, I know more or less how the law works as far as public vs private property and amplification vs using just your voice. But my question is this: what would constitute a safety hazard or blocking a right of way with the blackboard? How much space am I allowed to take up on a public sidewalk? More than likely, I'd be doing this in a park where there's plenty of room, but I want to have all of my bases covered.

I am wondering what the consensus is here about the importance of soul-winning. Do you believe that all Christians are commanded to do it? Either way, please explain your conviction with Scripture. Sincerely and respectfully, Brother Stafford

*Please excuse the use of the NKJV in the article. I'm sure we all have our KJB we can turn to. Are You Intentional About Witnessing? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By David Alan Black -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Covenant News ~ September 27, 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A person commented to me this weekend that, although he appreciated that Becky and I do mission work, he could never go on a mission trip or even share his faith with others. My soul-winning partner and I were working our way through a condominium complex a couple years ago. We had been told by a few of the owners there that there was a no siliciting rule. According to a ruling by the Supreme Court in 1947 (?), we have the right to pass out religious literature to any door accessible by a public throughway. On this particular morning, we were told there was no soliciting by a woman who claimed to be saved! We ran out of tracts, and so we proceeded back to our car. Another car pulled in behind us and blocked us in. The man driving said he was on the association board there and that we can't solicit. I told him what I tell everyone: We we…

Do you think a child can successfully present the gospel on their own? My daughter was at the park yesterday she was playing started talking with another girl, explained the plan of salvation to her, she prayed and Rachel said she got saved. She asked the girl if she was going to how she knew she was going to heaven. The girl said she was good enough, Rachel explained that no one was good enough except Jesus Christ and so explained why, the girl bowed her head and accepted Christ. BTW my daughter is 10

...and I count it a blessing! I was a member of the forum 1858remington.com and the enemies of Christ (professing Christians) have banned me for quoting God's Word in the off-topic section. I told them I would not cower or be bullied when they could call evil (drinking, smoking, pornography) good and good (God's Word) evil. I am continually amazed at the blindness of the lost, not just to God's Word but to common sense and rational thought processes. It is my hope that while there, some of the men thought about their spiritual conditions and turned to Christ. "Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Bl…

In our church service we have been having a young lady of 13 yrs of age coming for the past 6 months and her parents also have been attending with her and I will say very regular members. This 13 yr. old accepted Christ as our Saviour and she wants to follow with baptism. Her parents will not allow this and the pastor has spoken with the little girls parents together and know they are very upset and will not allow her to come back or at least at this present time they are not allowing her to come back. Our pastor of course does not divulge this information to any one as to (Why?) and we all respect him for that. I truly do not understand (Why?) either. Can anyone give an …

Hi Folks, Is there any title that could bring more attention? ha. We do need to consider change, but in the right ways. Over the past few years I've noticed a trend of negativism and peer pressure within the Baptist ranks. If someone doesn't have the right haircut, or the right bible translation, or the right clothing or whatever. We tend to exclude such people or tell them they need to do what's right or they'll be shunned. We have a new and growing ministry called Reformers Unanimous that's drawing people with various types of addictions: cocaine, crack, alcohol, pornography, eating disorders, you name it!! We need to be encouragers of the faith, reaching out to …

Okay. So I am thinking about starting a prison ministry. One where I just send letters and materials to inmates. Right now I am focusing on death row inmates. I will be setting up a po box for safety reason but was trying to think of a good name. I am thinking about Bible Senders Prison Ministry or BSPM. Does anyone have any thoughts, or suggestions on a good name? God bless. :)

I wasn't really sure where to put this so feel free to move it. God bless. :) Bible Senders Report 2004 "Believers who have the gospel keep mumbling it over and over to themselves. Meanwhile, millions who have never heard it once fall into the flames of eternal hell without ever hearing the salvation story." -- K.P. Yohannan What sobering words. These words should hit closer to home since the devestating tsunami that hit the 26th of December. As I write this the death toll is closing in on 100,000 poeple I can't help but wonder were any of those people saved? Did any have a chance to hear the Gospel? Did any own a bible? I pray that this tragedy will be a wake u…

Bible Senders 2006 Report Thank you to all who took part in the ministry this year either through prayer, bible donation, or financial donation. We praise the Lord for your help in this important work for the Lord. We have recently set a goal for the ministry that we would be able to collect and distribute 1 million bibles before the Lord's return. Please pray about helping us this year with this mission. Whatever you can do will be much appreciated. Each bible donated will bring us that much closer to the goal. Please also pray for us as we seek to rely on God to meet the needs of the ministry as without him we can do nothing. John 15:5 Totals for 2006 1,196 Bibles 2…
