I would like to ask everyone to be in prayer for my brother today. He has crohns disease. He has had a terible flare up. We have him in the hospital. The say his colon has to come out now. He is going to have surgery this afternoon. He and all of us are very scared. Thanks for your prayers.

Please pray for James Neubauer. He is the son of a friend of mine who has had a brain tumor since babyhood. He will be having surgery tomorrow to remove the tumor...a tumor they were once told is inoperable. My husband broke his index finger, and had surgery last week. They had to put 2 pins in his finger. He goes Monday to get the pins removed. Please pray that all goes well. They said that he may need therapy on his finger for a few weeks.

It seems our household stuff has come under attack. About two months ago our microwave went bad. We replaced that. Last month the clothes dryer went out. We replaced that. The oven on our stove, that's only about 8 years old, has stopped working. This morning we got up and our deep freeze has passed away. Replacing the microwave and clothes dryer amounted to about a 700 dollar unexpected expense. Work has slowed while bills have increased (food and gas mostly) so I'm not sure what we can do about these problems. While praying, please also pray none of our other appliances go out this year. Most of them are getting old but we really need them to last another …

Please pray for us as we have lots to do this week, and then will be traveling home on Friday. My hubby has a cold which we're hoping and praying will go away fast and not spread to me and our daughter. And also, I'm not experiencing morning sickness, but my nausea reflex is just super sensitive these days. :uuhm: This morning I was feeling fine until I saw an icky bug in our home, and that made me lose my breakfast. Our home is a big bad, dusty mess because of some repairs that we're working on to fix a water leak/mold problem. I sure don't mean to whine, but I'll sure be glad when Friday comes around!

My hubby and I have both been fighting a cold/flu bug this past week.... please pray that we feel better soon. We need to get back to work, and he has his pins removed from his finger Monday.... we just really feel blahhhh right now.... Is there anything that y'all know of that is going around?

The hospital has laptops for people to use as they are waiting for their person in surgery. Well, my hubby is there right now. I would appreciate your prayers for safety through the surgery (2 1/2 hours!) and recovery. Thanks.

We have 2 brothers that have been coming to RU for a while now. Wonderful kids! Their names are S------ and L--- (won't give their names because they are underage and such). Anyway, this lady that we have been getting to know (Lisa) that attends RU (our daughters are close in age and have become friends) went to pick up S, L, and their mom at a park. When Lisa arrived at the park, S and L were there, but mom was gone - she had left with some guy. Lisa brought the kids to RU and tried calling the mom and sending text messages, but got no response from her. The older boy, S, was not himself tonight - he knew what had happened. a woman in out church, mrs. ballard, just died. she was recently diagnosed with terminal lung cancer and given maybe 3 months to live. she didn't even reach 2 weeks. please pray for her family.

My little girl, Esther, just woke up crying. He leg is hurting her again. Almost every night, she goes to be with leg pains. I don't think she is faking it, either. She often complains about leg pains, and our doctor has not found out why she is having he pains. Pray that she gets a good night's sleep.

Please pray for one of my coworkers, John. He is in his 60's has had bad heart problems, and found out today that he is eat up with cancer. He came to work a week or so ago completely yellowish orange, even his eyes. We all knew something was bad wrong. He had been complaining about severe back pain. As it turns out, he has advanced pancreatic cancer, it has literally laserated his liver (which has caused him to have brown urine for a few weeks now,) and the cancer has grown up and wrapped around his spine. Our only car broke down as my wife was returnign from subbing. While I work from home and her subbing will end this week, it still leaves us without a car at all, and I've got my latest check from a freelance cleint I still need to take to the bank. Pray that the mechanics can find what's wrong quickly and that it's not too expensive to fix.

I never knew at the time when I was a babe in Christ why I learned and meditated on so much scripture until now. I am so confused. Recieved via email. Edited to protect the missionaries serving in a nation hostile to Christianity... The guy mentioned at the end was born and raised in Myanmar, excaped, became a US citizen, and was then called by God to return to Myanmar. Even though he is now a US citizen, he is willing to risk death to obey God's call. I'm very proud to call him a fellow citizen.

My husband just got back from the doctor. He had a growth that, of course, made me immmediately think of cancer. But, praise the Lord, it isn't cancer. However, something has ruptured and herniated, so he has to have surgery. Don't know when yet, but the doc said asap. Please pray that he'll come through fine. And the doc said that he won't be able to lift anything heavy for 2 years. The problem is often the starting point is belief there is no God...or they cant know. Just because they look at things they can observe, they automatically rule out the supernatural. What they fail to see is they have their own religion, because they never observed one species become another. They have faith that whales became cows.. dinosaurs became birds and ape like creatures became humans. They don't have good evidence for this. Most creation scientists talk about what glasses you put on to view the evidence. I don't like this kind of thinking because it doesn't talk about the facts...but it does show preconceived assumptions. -

My niece sent me a text yesterday telling me that my father had asked for her pastor to come out to the house to talk to him about eternity. He admitted that he was a sinner and needed the Lord, and he asked the Lord to save him. Praise the Lord for answered prayers. -

Yes, I have a pastor friend in the Independence, MO area that spoke against this often. I've got an aunt and uncle in O'Fallon, MO who could be on either side of the issue.
