A neat praise item: one woman from the Mission, named Pat, who had always listened to my preaching attentively, maybe six months ago received the Lord - after I had preached on seven benefits of faith from Romans 5:1-11 (justification, peace with God, access to God, hope, joy, saved from wrath, and one more), the man at the front desk did an invitation - which they normally never do - inviting people who wanted peace with God to pray with him. A bunch of different people raised their hands - though I wasn't sure what to think about that - because I have seen some in that environment with the mentality of praying everytime someone else invites them to receive Christ. She w…

It is so nice to be back in Guatemala!!! I saw our 17yo son off to Army basic training last Wednesday, and he was allowed to call me before I left the country on Saturday--He said he's having a good time! We'll see how much of that changes halfway through when he calls me again  I also received lots of donations of clothes, bottles, shoes, etc., for the orphanage, and one lady in particular, a Muslim lady, gave us over $5000.000 worth of brand new, tags still on them, clothes and toys for the children. I got to witness to her, and she listened, but didn't "see things that way." I will be meeting with her again in August, so pray that the things I said to he…

I just wanted to praise God for giving me a second chance. I've been saved for a while but I still hadn't given up a lot of my old habits. Now I am. Everyday he shows me a little bit more of who He is. I just wanted to praise God for being a God of second chances!!

I just wanted to praise the Lord for the job that i just got today. I'm gonna move pipe, 5 lines, once a day for the rest of the summer. Its nice, because usually you have to move twice a day when you move pipe, but he'll just have me move once. I was hoping God would give me this job, as it will give me the rest of the day to do as i please  . Another praise, our home Bible study went well, as i did the lesson on James 2. The Lord was really there, and showed a lot tonight. Ain't He good?

Praise GOD!!! HE is the great physician and healer. After two and a half months of a very rough road I am doing so much better. For the past two weeks I have been taking HRT medication to relieve me of my hormone imbalance. It is remarkable the difference that I am feeling and I thank GOD for giving the Doctors the wisdom to know how to treat my condition. This was a very difficult time for me and I would like to give GOD all the glory for keeping me near to HIM and bringing me to where I am!!! :sing: :sing: :sing:

On tuesday afternoon, my 5yr old came to me and asked me if God loved her when she was bad, if there were bugs in hell and if the fire just killed us when we got there. I was able to answer her questions and she prayed and asked Jesus to forgive her sins and take her to heaven. I waited a couple of days to post to see if she was genuine and it seems to be. She is not as whiny as she was and is not fighting with her sisters as much. She is very shy though by nature and when I told her she needed to tell others she asked if I would help her. She did tell her Grandma by herself though. Just thought you would like to rejoice with us. :sing:

A long time ago, I posted a prayer request here for my 26 year old son Mike....well, Mike accepted Jesus as his Saviour about 2 weeks ago !!!! Praise God!!! My parents, my siblings, and my children are Heaven bound!!! Now keep praying for my daughter in law, Nica (pronounce NEE-sa) she is not saved, and I am trusting God to send the right person to talk to her. My son in law led Mike to the Lord. He has presented the Gospel many times, and this time, it was THE time. Just had to share.....

Ok, this is kind of a weird praise, It has been a year since my grandparents adopted me. I am very thankful that the Lord put them in my life and allowed them to adopt me. When this first started I was very bitter and I did not exactly want to be adopted because I still had my parents even though I knew they didn't want me I kept praying that one or the other would come back and get me. Bu now I am very glad they didn't. It still hurts very badly maybe even moreso now than then ecspecially because of everything to Grandpa but I am very thankful that I have the Lord which I probably never would have gotten saved if they had came back and got me

I just thought I'd post a little something.A comforting testimony I had the other day. Right now I'm struggling a little with some bad attitudes and such.Trying to learn how to give it to God and not worry about stuff. But anyway,I am so thankful that even when I'm struggling through something I can feel that He is by my side with reassurence that He's there for me.Now if I need help(which I do!)and at the end when I've conquered(through Him) He's there to celebrate with me. Isn't God good?

You know, folks, the Lord is simply amazing. About the time Satan has you beaten down, the Lord knows exactly what to do to bring you back up. Most of you know our little church had to go through its first disciplinary actions for a husband leaving his family for another woman. He has made some comments toward reconciliation, but nothing concrete yet. Talk about dropping emotionally and spiritually -- when one of your "strong" families succumbs to the wiles of the devil, it puts you on notice that these things could just as easily happen to you. However, the Lord gave us two new converts during the midst of that storm, and they were baptized last night into our chur…

Last night myself, my wife, and our children traveled to People's Baptist Church in Mansfield, Ohio, and attended a Revival Fires! meeeting and heard Dr. Jeffery Smale and Evangelist Monty Watts preaching 2 very challenging messages. It was pretty funny after Dr. Smale spoke though. Because when Monty Watts got up to preach, he said that he and Dr. Smale had not spoken to each other on what they were going to be speaking on. You see, Dr. Smales' message title was "Get off the deck" taken from when Peter was walking on the water. When Monty Watts began to preach, his title was "Don't get down", taken from when Nehemiah was re-building the wall. We had a great time!! It su…

Severe weather was in the area again today. I thank God and give Him all the praise for being our Shield during this time. A tornado struck about six miles from us. Tornado sirens went off here. Another tornado struck a dozen or so miles another direction from us. Strong winds struck another town down the road, putting a tree through a mobile home, destroying sheds and breaking down tree branches. Etc. I praise God that He is our ever present help in times of trouble! I thank God for being our Shield!

Boy, talk about meeting with the Lord! What a day our anniversary Sunday was. It was really an incredible time -- if heaven is anything like that, I won't be able to stand it! We had a young man get saved and wants to join via baptism. Another recent convert (who was led to the Lord by one of our members) visited for the first time Sunday, and we're talking to her about baptism, so we're planning our first baptism service real soon! Now, we have to get that baptistry installed, so I'm calling a workday for all Online Baptist plumbers and contractors. The Lord has some work for us to do! :sing:  Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers for our speci…

OK, folks, it's been a while since my last update, so here it comes: We had a single man join the church this past Sunday. He's been visiting regularly, and we've gotten to know him pretty well. He comes to us from a nearby church that has split, so I'm very cautious with those folks. But this man joining is an answer to prayer. He also led a young lady to the Lord a couple of weeks ago, and he'll be encouraging her to come to our church for discipleship and worship. Maybe we'll even get to conduct our first baptism with her soon! Also, be in prayer as this next Sunday is our 1st anniversary Sunday. We'll have a special speaker, special music, and dinner on the …

My friend and sister in Christ, Rose, has had several cancers and was told last month that they could do nothing more for her so they stopped all treatment. She went to the hospital last weekend because of her fragile condition. They gave her 4-7 days to live so I rushed over Monday to say my goodbyes and to ask her to say hi to my Dad when she goes to be with the Lord. Her children flew in from all over the country. I just got a phone call from another sister in Christ who told me that all the tests they took at the hospital on Monday came back NEGATIVE today. No cancer anywhere that they could find. That's all the news I have right now, but I just had to PRAISE TH…

As most of you know i have been asking prayer for me and a health issue i have been having. i have been battling with this for over 3years and it has gradually got worse. well the doctor not only found the cause but God used him to dispense a medication that has helped my to feel almost 100%. he still has a couple of tests that he wants me to take just to cover all the bases. through this he has certainly taught me to be thankful for just the simple tasks we so easily take for granted each day. thank you all for praying

Wow, God is just so good! Most of you know that I wasn't able to raise support before starting the work in Anita, Iowa. God opened the door, and we stepped through it by faith. We only have three churches supporting us monthly -- that's why I'm working a full-time secular job. A couple of other churches were supporting us, but one closed its doors and the other is hurting financially, so we're down to the current three. Needless to say, I was a little discouraged, because the more time I have to spend at me secular job means less time doing the work of a pastor. Well, out of the blue, I got a telephone call from a former pastor that I hadn't seen since 1993. My…

I praise You Oh Lord for being able to talk to her about Your Word and Way today for almost two hours. I praise You for her openness and reply. You know how long this has taken. You are preparing the ground and for this I praise Your wonderful name!! How merciful You are. How wise and perfect in all of Your ways. May she come to know You as her Messiah. May she find out that her Messiah has already come. I love you Lord. AMEN.
