Had a friend send me this. I do not know this person, but I thought a few of the posts I read were detailed, thorough, and calmly reasoned (something the KJVO debate too often is not). Just thought I would pass it along.

Seems the biggest debate on OB, is from those who stand for any and all translations except for the KJ. As for me, I never go to any site and start a debate with those who stand for any and or every translation, but it seems some that post on this site love to bring it up, them do everything they can to tear down the KJ Bible. And of course from time to time there will be one who will come along and seems to do everything within their power to convict KJ Bible users that they are wrong.

Now, I know they be those KJ only users who go about debating this issue with the other side, going from site to site, but as for me, I am not one of them.

I really don't think 95 % of such debates does anyone the least bit of good, in fact I figure for the most part, they do harm and probably keep many unbelievers from ever coming to the Lord.

I think both sides would bring much more glory to our awesome God by using their knowledge to spread the Word to the lost and dying world than they would debating Bibles.

Just my humble opinion.

I think this issue more than any other truly, really, honestly, wholly, and totally, depends upon the Holy Spirit to convict the heart and change minds.

But how could the same Holy Spirit lead people to different conclusions and convictions? I don't understand that; it has to be one or the other is right or it is not right!

Okay, so I was saying that "tongue'n cheek" and I actually do understand how a path or decision can be wrong for one believer and yet the right path or decision for another; but I just couldn't resist using that line..................

To be totally clear, let me ad a few words to my statement above:
"I think this issue more than any other truly, really, honestly, wholly, and totally, depends upon the Holy Spirit to convict the heart and change minds that the KJV issue is important and the KJV is the preserved Word of God."
