Hot in Southwest Arkansas, yet not as hot as it was in 98, 102º. I believe that may have been the year a friend lost chickens in two house due to the heat, about 3 or 4 days later he only had about 1/4 of 2 houses of chickens left when they sold.

AC is nice, but we don't have it in this house. It's all about those fans blowing the hot and humid air around.

I really do feel for you. Working nights I have to have my ac so I can sleep in the summer time. Its not so much a luxury as a necessity for me.

I'm on a good roll with my reading so far this year. I just finished my 23rd Christian book this year, which happened to be "The Ruin of a Christian" by Dr. John R. Rice.

I've also read the New Testament through 2 times and have begun my 3rd reading. I've read and studied the Psalms as well.

If only I had made the time to do this sort of thing when I was a younger man!
