I'm getting a roar from my old clan that they want the clan back, and they figure C&C is the game for it.

Anyone play the new C&C? If so, how many units, recourses are there? It's usually the base measure of a good RTS

I remember several years ago someone mentioned Arc of the covenant as a replacement game for games like runescape. there is a Christian Gaming site as well not sure if it has Arc of the Covenant on it or not. I have played games that you find the pictures in the pictures or CSI but once they are done they are done.

No idea, haven't checked it out. I used to play AoE/AoM fairly frequently, but then I quit for a couple years. I just got into EE2(have the expansion pack too), and have started trying to get my skill level back up. :ooops I'm terrible now.

EE2... eek... they announced 2 days after releasing ee2, that they are working on ee3. That's because ee1 was so great, and ee2 is just horrible. AOE3 is where most people play for an epoc rts. But I and my friends hate aoe3 also.

Have you heard of World in Conflict? It's an RTS game based on the concept of the Russians invading America. It's rather interesting. You don't actually have to gather resources, but you do have to collect points to gain more troops. I've been messing around with the Demo. http://www.worldinconflict.com/

It's going to be released on the 18th. I may buy it when I get the cash, it looks good. Check it out.

A warning though, there was some language during the 'movie scenes' in the game.

Has anyone played Age of Empires Three and or the expansion that goes with it? It looks possibly interesting but I'm not sure if my computer can handle it or not.

I have AoE Two and the expansion, The Conquerors, and that runs well on my computer.

I have a friend who has it, but he doesn't care for it that much. He does EE2, same as me. I'm joining up with him and a couple members of his clan tonight for a run at some fellas.

I Love RTS, especially epoc RTS, but EE2 had to many things in it that are impossible to counter. I mean, people hated me in EE1 for my use of religion, but after spending a lot of time, gold and food, to create some profits, all they had to do was spend 225 wood and 50 stone and I couldn't use it.. good balance if I may say so.

AOE3 the problem is you're very very set in what you can do depending on the civilization. If someone takes the french, you know they are gonna rush you, because the civ is useless for anything else. It removes to much of the strat/counterstrat of the game.

My peoples hold out high hopes for EE3...

Thanks for the brief review of AOE3.

The game looked like it had potential, but every time I looked at it when I thought of possibly buying it, something about it made me stop.

I do love the AOE2 Conquerors expansion.

Yes, I still enjoy playing AOE2, and I still hop online and pwn some people on EEAOC, but the industry definatly has a shortage of good modern RTS games. They always wanna focus on some stupid gimic like supreme commander where you can zoom out all the way to space, or they just go graphics heavy and don't put much into the game itself.

I have to agree with you. There seems to be a dearth of quality games. Too many games try to copycat other successes and they tend to seem too forced and too rushed. Too many others go overboard on the newest bells and whistles while leaving out the core that really matters. Some, to me, are also just too far beyond reality.
