I can't think of any off-hand. I wasn't really referring to the leadership here either since I find that you guys are pretty fair and balanced. I just think that sometimes people are too sensitive about making a KJV issue out of something the poster had no intention of it being. Not that if they are wrong, they shouldn't be confronted, I just think that we could use a little bit more discernment before starting KJV debates over little things. :smile

Again, :tip:

Hmm, then why the response?

Basically, because I've been thinking about it and Dwayne's post reminded me of it. lol And I know some people would have a problem with it but I was pointing out that sometimes when people think that someone is correcting it, they may actually just be offering a different way of looking at it.

I understand that. I just want to be pointed to one of the threads so that I can re-read it to see how we handled the situation, and if what you are saying is indeed the case. If you ever come across one just point me to it. Thank you.

Don't discourage Kevin... :B He is agreeing with me :lol

LOL, I think I'm getting in trouble. :Bolt:

And sure thing Bro. Matt. And just so everyone understands, I don't think anyone should correct the KJV. :saint

I know my opinions don't go far since I'm not a mod or admin here, but I think the value of a discussion is not as much the topic, but the attitude and love one shows when discussing a topic. The question is: Can both sides discuss the issue with an attitude of love rather than one of hate. I don't think there should be a fear of discussing any issue, as long as it's done with the right heart.

I love free and open communication, but it must be civil and respectful.

There is no need for a member who has been here a good while to feel that their opinions are not important. :cool

And the mods/admin agree wholeheartedly with your statement. We welcome discussion on nearly any topic as long as the attitudes remain Christlike. Threads get locked for two main reasons:

1. BAD attitudes - name-calling, posting as if the other person is stupid, etc.

2. Posts which contain inappropriate material (these are actually more likely to be moved or deleted)

On the subject of locking threads.

When there is only one or two people in a thread getting out of line, isn't there some way to deal with them directly rather than locking the thread to everyone?
