How do you pray?

I noticed that sometimes Jesus would lift up His eyes to heaven as He prayed:

John 11:41 - Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead was laid. And Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me.

John 17:1 - These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:

All of the above and more. Since we can pray anytime and anywhere, there are many different "methods". I certainly keep my eyes open when I'm praying and driving at the same time. :thumb

Pray without ceasing - no partcular posture, folding or lifting of hands, sitting, standing, kneeling etc.

I was going to do "all of the above" but I don't pray in my closet. It would be very uncomfortable. Otherwise I pray whenever, wherever, and however. :lol

I'm with Jess and Janet. I pray in various ways and in various places. I also keep my eyes open while praying and driving too! At other times, I may close my eyes when I pray while sometimes I will have them open.

Sometimes I pray while standing or sitting. There are times I kneel to pray there are times I bury my face and pray. Sometimes I pray sitting on the side of my bed, sometimes I pray while I lay in bed.

I practice the "pray without ceasing" method as well as having specific times of prayer such as upon getting up in the morning and before I go to bed at night, etc.

I think I've only prayed once in our basement though (it's a very tiny little bitty basement). I was down there trying to fix something and nothing would work. I stopped and prayed and suddenly the next thing I tried worked perfectly! I took off my hat and dropped down on one knee and gave thanks to the Lord!
