Okay sometimes this crosses my mind but...with all the surge in sexual perversion today even in our churches, have any of you changed the way you behave with your children?

For instance sometimes my kids enjoy helping church men who come help out at church and work or whatever.... and I'm sure its always fine, but in the back of my mind sometimes I wonder if any of the men will end up doing something wrong to one of my kids. I know there is only a very small chance of that, but I wondered if this is something you leave up to the Lord...or be overprotective of your kids? I have all boys so its not as bad but it can still happen....and I wouldn't let any one boy go spend time at somebody's house unless we totally trusted them but still...

Any thoughts on this "modern day" situation?

We tend towards caution but try not to worry about things.

Keeping the children and situations in much prayer and trusting the Lord is a must. Then we practice caution and try to be alert for signs of potential bad or for the prodding of the Holy Ghost.

It can be a scary world out there for our children and I try to know where they are and who they are with at all times.

My kids don't spend the night anywhere, well, on very rare occassions. I'm leary of leaving them for too long with people.

Part of it is because I know my children and the trouble they can get into. Part of it is because I had a babysitter problem once that has left me waaaay to picky. And part is because of that fear deep within me that someone is going to harm one of my children.

I know that they belong to God. When we did baby dedication, I meant it. But, I'm still a mom.

I guess I just worry that during public times someone will end up befriending my boys to where after several years after they gain our trust that something bad will happen...but I guess that's up to the Lord.

Someone is asking a question that has crossed my mind. since we have visited a new church we havn't been put into that position. But we have in the past. I just had to use my instincts and trust in the Lord.
