Where does it say in the Bible which books belong in the Bible?

Is there an inspired table of contents in the Bible?

First-Is this an honest question, and from what position are you approaching this question?

Quote: "Old Testament Scholars have been able to assure us that the so-called Masoretic text is is an extremely reliable and accurate replica of the ancient autographs."

The original text from Antioch that the Apostles put together has been copied and verified so many ways.

Just because some sheep herder finds an old scroll doesn't make it part of scripture, the world just wants to throw this stuff in to discredit the Bible.

Even the perverts that translated the Minority Text never wanted to add more books.(Westcott-Hort Critical Text)

True SOME original King James Bibles were marketed with the Apocrypha, but they plainly discredited the text
and noted it was included for historical reasons.

John 17:20

You ought to look at Psalm 14 and Romans 3.

The Septuagint adds six verses to Psalm 14, not in any Hebrew versions. Where did they come from? Word for word from Romans 3:13-18. Look it up.

Problem is, that means the Septuagint was compiled after Paul wrote Romans.

Also, I want to ask you again, from what position are you asking these questions? What specifically are your beliefs? Your failure to answer me so far is causing me to think you are a troll.

Be honest, BibleFaith1. Everyone and their dog can say they are a Christian (though a word void of a specific definition eventually becomes meaningless!). What denomination or religion do you truly represent? By your answers, I would say Catholicism.

That or else EC. I'm not sure yet.

A true Christian - according to the Bible definition of the word - is someone who has trusted in the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation, believing that He is the Saviour the Scriptures teach and trusting in His FINISHED work upon the cross when He shed His blood and died for our sins, then was buried and arose the third day. Someone that is trusting in their good works (or the good works of others) is not a born again child of God - not a Biblical Christian.

I am a non-denominational Christian, and that's the truth.

Non-denominational Christian (as if there is such a thing!) - yet one that defends Catholicism! Perhaps you should start reading the Bible and accepting what it actually says, instead of following religious traditions.

I would like to see if you can prove that claim.

Biblefaith, why don't you study the issue out for yourself? Why should we defend the history of the Septuagint when we have no regard for it?

Why do the Ethiopian Jews and the Eastern Orthodox accept the deuterocanonicals as part of their Bible?
