Sword of Lord is having a "King James Bible Conference" January 16-18.
The conference subject is "Making the case for an inspired, inerrant, infallible Bible in the English language."

It sure is good to see the "Sword" actively defending the KJB....

I would like to get a copy of the CDs for the KJB Conference. Shelton Smith was my pastor way back in the 70s in Southern California. He certainly caused a stink when he resigned the pastorate of the SBC church I was a member of, and then started his own church in the same town. I have never heard such vile and slanderous remarks as those that came from old, old friends at the SBC church, directed at those of us that left to join Dr. Smith. Many, many long-term friendships were broken then. Many have never recovered. All that being said, I am so proud of the ministries Dr. Smith has led in the years since: Open Door Church in Maryland and now the SOTL.

It's a very sad testimony, but the fact is that many professing Christians are more interested in appearances and worldly aspects of "loyalty" than they are in the will of God. All too often, when God calls a man to leave a church, to start a new church or to move to another church, there are those who, even after years of seeming to be great friends, will attack, denounce and even slander the man who is following the Lord's call upon his life. This absolutely shouldn't be so.

I don't know Shelton Smith but I have benefited from some of his writings in the Sword of the Lord and his books or booklets; as well as through the Sword of the Lord itself.
