Members dadof4 Posted October 13, 2007 Members Posted October 13, 2007 While we are here in Iowa visiting my FIL, my wife's uncle (who has alhizmer's - sp), had a very bad night. He got a fever of 109. He is in a nursing home already because of how advanced he is. As my wife was leaving the nursing home today, a worker there asked if they new he was dying, and from the sounds of it he will not last long. Sorry for the randomness of this post, but he need prayer for comfort and for the comfort of the family. Quote
Members churchmouse7 Posted October 14, 2007 Members Posted October 14, 2007 I have prayed for your family and your wife's uncle. I pray that you and your family will find comfort in God through this difficult time. In Christ Quote
Members dadof4 Posted October 14, 2007 Author Members Posted October 14, 2007 My wife and SIL are at the nursing home now. The last news I heard was from a couple of hours ago - the staff at the nursing home was saying to my wife's aunt to call the family in. I don't know much more than that. My wife and SIL are taking this pretty hard - he was a very good uncle to them. Quote
Members dadof4 Posted October 17, 2007 Author Members Posted October 17, 2007 Uncle Mike died today. He is in a far better place, and no longer suffering. Thanks to all of you who were praying for him. Continue to pray for the family, please. While we know he is with Jesus, it hurts for the ones left here. Quote
Administrators HappyChristian Posted October 17, 2007 Administrators Posted October 17, 2007 Have prayed... Praise the Lord that he was able to respond to his Shirley and Angela the way you described! 1 Corinthians 15:54-57 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Quote
