Phillippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

And I love the next verse.... Phil 4:7
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and mind through Christ Jesus.

A lot of times when we worry, we find that we focus on the wrong things, so the next verse might be helpful too.....

Colossians 3:2
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth. :amen:

Hope these help.

Here are a few verses on worrying (Prov. 3:5,6; 12:25; Matt. 6:25-34; Lk. 31:33-36; Phil. 4:6,7; Heb. 4:16; 1 Pet. 5:6,7). Proverbs 3:5,6 tells us to trust in the Lord with all out heart and know that He will carry you through your struggles and we can be assured that He will never abandon us (Heb. 13:5).

2 Corinthians 1:3,4 - Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

Love,
Madeline

Last Saturday my new router started acting crazy and then my computer started crashing. We earn our living off these, so the anxiety began to build as I tried to troubleshoot the problem. I eventually got everything working, but the anxiety didn't end. It seemed to build and hang on. By Sunday morng it was still there and holding on like icy claws in my chest. Then I remembered somethign I'd forgotten through all of it. In Jesus name I commanded the demons to leave me and stay away. I instantly felt peace wash over me. The anxiety slowly tried to return, but I used Jesus name again and told the demons to leave. By Sunday afternoon I was as calm and as peaceful as I'd been in months.

I'm not sure to what extent demon can and will exert control over us, but a lot of time we forget that that can be a factor, and we have a quick solution. You also have to remember that there may be a reason demons feel welcome, so make sure you're not leaving any strongholds for them to remain in.

Good points Danny, this is why we must read and study the Whole Word of God and live by all of what the Lord commands.

Ephesians 6:10-18 is a key area we Christians often ignore or become complacent about.

Praying for this situation :pray

Matthew 6 is a great chapter for worrying. I like to start in verse 19, so that I begin to focus on eternal things.

When I begin to worry I like to think of God as a full grown man holding an egg in his hand; with his arm straight out. There are really only two kinds of people living in that egg. Those who reject Christ are at His mercy, and those who accept Christ are in His care.

If you are soundly saved, the very God that holds the universe together is YOUR God. Why worry?

Having the Word of God "hid in our heart" is very important.

Do you agree with me when I say that everyone has probably struggled with this at one point.

Yes - I'm sure we all have. It seems though that women are more prone to it than men. Don't know why, unless it has to do with our emotional makeup. The verses that were quoted for you are excellent ones to memorize. And this is a good one: "What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee." Psalm 56:3
