For the purpose of this poll I mean ones that were answered yes and in line with what you asked. Technically I know a no is also a answer but that isn't what I have in mind...

I voted under the 50%-60%. It could be a higher or lower number, but that is what sounds about right to me.

So, what does this tell me? Possibly two things:

1. God does not think I'm ready or worthy of the petition brought before Him.
2. My wants and desires are not completely lined up with His all of the time (that was a real shocker).

However, over half of the time, my thoughts are lined up with His. Our immediate goals are the same, and my eyes have turned from off of myself to the wonderful cross and the burden of its commission. May I live each day to further that relationship between my Saviour and I.

Nice, introspective poll, Seth. :thumb

Why so few responses to this question?

You know, I was thinking the same thing, John.

A little too close to home for some, perhaps?

Well, I have never actually kept a log of prayer answers.

I have to say that some prayers are answered in the affirmative pretty quickly. Others are answered in the affirmative many days later.

I personally am just not able to quantify the answer.

In this past week, as far as immediate answers, at least half of them are so.

Well 5d, it wasn't meant as something that needed a log book to see exactly how it came out. :wink A general feeling about how itwent was more in line with what I had in mind.

Yes, I hope it will get a few more votes. I hope it wasn't one of those questions nobody is supposed to ask. :eek After all, you don't even have to say who you are...

To be honest, I was not going to even click on this topic, but I did, but was not going to vote, just see what was said.

Extremely hard to answer and perhaps many don't like to answer this question and feel that by doing so they might be judging God and or someone might judge their worth or lack of worth in how many of their prayers get answered.

I did not vote.

Many of my prayers are for people such as missionaries, all the true Churches in this world, all true Christians, our president and other leaders, for our solders, their families, wounded soldiers, solders families who lost their loved on in the war, families in our community who lost a loved one or perhaps were in a wreck, or had a heart attack, for the elderly who are in nursing homes, the Baptist orphanage. I could go on and on. I truly hope all of these type prayers are answered.

No put down intended, I just gave my opinion on this matter.

I'm a firm believer that God answers ALL (100%) of my prayers. After I explain it you'll see why I say this. I get three types of answers from the LORD::::::::

***"Yes"

***"No"

***"Your faith isn't strong enough yet, so we'll wait and see how well you do in this "school" that I want you to attend." ((((These "schools" take place deeeeeeeeeeeeeep in the valleys of life. Mountaintop experiences are great but it's in the valleys where things grow (e.g. our faith and trust in Him. ))))

Well I'm with PE and Jerry in this and I didn't vote.

Correct me if I am misunderstanding your intentions here but it seems like you are only asking for how many "yes" answers we get.

"No" is a wonderful answer.

"Wait" is a wonderful answer.

And, not every "yes" comes in a clockable time frame.

I prayed for a friend's father 14 years ago, that the man would be saved. We prayed for him on a frequent basis. If you had asked me then how many prayers I was getting answered, you might assume that God wasn't answering this prayer of ours. Guess what? The man did get saved..... just 4 months ago. Guess that will boost my percentage up a little bit? I'm not trying to be mean but how in the world are we supposed to guage what percentage of prayers God answers if we don't believe He answers each and every one.

Last year, dh and I were praying fervently that our children would be able to attend Christian school. In August of 2007 we were sure that He had "answered our prayer" because I was going to get a job at the school we were looking at that would take care of the tuition. Well, in mid-August, God made it 150% clear that it wasn't going to happen. Did God answer my prayer? Yes indeedy! He changed my heart about homeschooling. And when we prayed for Him to provide for this, He answered way above and beyond our expectations.

I could go on and on and on with many stories in our lives where God answered quickly and obviously. But there are plenty of times when we have to wait.

So my answer is...

God answers 100% of my prayers. In His time and in His way. And He does the same for every child of His.

I'm with Jerry on this one. I really don't keep track, but I know my life has been abundantly blessed and it's not by any of my doing. I'm definately doing far better than I deserve! :amen:

I was going to add that one too. The Lord won't even hear our prayers when we are willfully holding on to our sin. Perhaps we can say, when we are right with the Lord, He answers 100% of our prayers.
