Members Pastor Scott Markle Posted February 8, 2022 Members Posted February 8, 2022 Romans 5:12 -- "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned." 1. Sin entered into the created world by the sin of the one man Adam. 2. Death entered into the created world by that sin of the one man Adam. 3. Death PASSED upon all through the sin of the one man Adam, because in fact all have themselves committed sin. Romans 5:13-14 -- "(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come." 4. Sin was in the created world even before the Law of Moses was given. 5. Sin is not imputed when there is no law of any kind at all. 6. Yet death (a consequence of imputed sin) DID reign in the created world since Adam to Moses. Therefore: 7. Both sin and death were in the created world even before the Law of Moses was given. 8. Some kind of divine law existed in the world even before the Law of Moses was given. Romans 5:15-17 -- "But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)" 9. Through the sinful offence of the one man Adam, many humans are dead. 10. By the sinful offence of the one man Adam, judgement came unto condemnation. 11. By the sinful offence of the one man Adam, death reigns over humanity. Romans 5:18 -- "Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life." 12. By the sinful offence of the one man Adam, God's judgement comes upon ALL unto condemnation. (Note: This divine condemnation is NOT presented as due to an individual's own sin, but due to Adam's sin.) Therefore: 13. Just as Christ's righteousness is imputed unto all believers, so Adam's sin has been imputed unto all humanity. Romans 5:19 -- "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous." 14. By the sinful disobedience/offence of the one man Adam, many (all) humans are made sinners. (Note: We are NOT made sinners by our own sinful disobedience, but by Adam's sinful disobedience.) The Biblical doctrine on this matter is that sin, death (both spiritual and physical), and divine condemnation are all imputed upon all of mankind by/through the single sinful offence/disobedience of the one man Adam. These are the very references I gave to refute these pastors/laypreachers/seminary students statements that sin wasn't passed down. This is one very big issue I have with many of the SBC seminaries is that they are now "woke" and that they are questioning the accuracy and teachings of God's Word in favor of what they "believe" it says. They're throwing out the old landmark and becoming more like the world every day. But, it's not just the SBC...there are many IFB preachers/laypreachers/seminary students who are doing the same things. We truly need to be on guard against ANY inroads the adversary is utilizing to try and destroy the church. Quote

In fact, I have all of my life only ever been a part of the Independent Fundamental Baptist "circles." Yet I grieve deeply and regularly over the lack of actual Bible study among Independent Fundamental Baptists. So much study and proclamation of the doctrines of the "movement," rather than study and proclamation of the doctrines of the Bible. So many doctrines built upon philosophy or tradition or emotion or stories, rather than on the actual statements of God's Holy Word. 1Timothy115, Jim_Alaska, BrotherTony and 1 other 4 Quote

However, there are still many out there whose "knees which have not bowed" to the plurality and deconstructionism attempting invasion of the church. Pastor Scott Markle, Jim_Alaska and Jerry 3 Quote
Administrators Jim_Alaska Posted February 8, 2022 Administrators Posted February 8, 2022 I fear for those that will be influenced by this sort of error. I also fear for the "preacher boys" holding to this error; but especially am concerned about the institutions and teachers that would not only allow this sort of error, but go on to not correct it. This does not bode well for the future of IFB. Pastor Scott Markle, HappyChristian and BrotherTony 1 1 1 Quote

This does not bode well for the future of IFB. It's just another step for many SBC churches into apostacy. Thankfully there are still many good ones around, but my wife and I have been checking into the IFB churches in our area again. We haven't liked the direction that the missions boards have been going and the power they've been absorbing, nor do we like the way they've been spending money to pay off people they want to get rid of. Thankfully, being autonomous churches, they have the right to/not to support these mission boards until accountability is reestablished in them....As far as the seminaries, I don't see that many of them are standing fast...possibly one or two. I know of many IFB institutaions of higher learning that are still standing firm. PTL for this! Quote

That is important to understand. The doctrine of imputation. Along with that comes death. 5 hours ago, SureWord said: Death comes anytime after conception regardless of imputation? Wow, I didn't know that. Mock yourself if you want. My statement was made to disagree with and clarify what you said above - maybe you just worded it badly, therefore my clarification - that when imputation of sin comes, then comes death. But death comes to even infants and children in the womb who never will have sin imputed to them. BrotherTony 1 Quote
