Now that it seems we know it will be Obama or McCain, at this point who do you really think will win.

We all understand that many things can happen between now and election.

It would not surprise me the least bit if Obama wins. I just don't think as of this time that McCain can pull it off.

I think it will be Obama. I think he might need Hillary as vp though so that the Hillary supporters who said they would not vote for Obama will have no choice but vote for a Obama/Hillary ticket. :badday::badday::badday::badday: :gross:  :flame:

Yep an Obama/Hillary ticket would win for sure.

The media is giving McCain no time at all. They have made sure that, until somebody won the Dem nom, that McCain got no airtime I noticed. I don't watch the news, only read online, and it seems like McCain is just a little ghost in the background that nobody cares much about. Which is what the media would like to portray. It will be interesting to see what % of America sees through that junk...and its a larger % than the media would have us know.

Obama may win simply because so many conservatives feel unrepresented and will not vote or vote for third party candidates.

I don't know as Obama would be wise having Hillary as a VP from a longevity point of view. People that get in the Clintons' way have a tendancy of ending up dead. Could you imagine if he gets elected? Only one step away from the White House I could see Hillary arranging an untimely demise of Barak Hussein Obama.

No, that would be too obvious....

I agree, I don't think the Republicans will band together and vote this year, unless they somehow see the danger in Obama and decide to go for it. I know there's alot of people on this forum who are going to refuse to vote for McCain...which, as I see it, is a vote for Obama, really.

I voted for McCain...not that I think he will be our next president...but perhaps it is wishful thinking. The prospect of having Barack Obama as our next president is scary indeed.

But this is not about who you will vote for and or who you hope will win, but who you think will win as things stand now.

After listening to Hillary's speech today, 20 something minutes about herself, maybe 5 minutes about Obama, she can make him lose.

And the only reason she has this power is because of Rush Limbaugh and those forces who crossed over and aided Hillary in her quest for the democrat nomination. If they had not did this, making this race between those 2 very tight which gives her this clout at this time, McCain would not have any hope of winning.

But thanks to those cross over voters in the democratic primaries Hillary has the power to break the democratic march to the White House. If she does not get her way, she jsut may spoil it for Obama and McCain might sneak in.

I wish no ill to either of these candidates but in this election death could be a factor that could promote a VP quickly.

There are those on all sides of the nuthouse who would see it as a benefit to others if they were to take out McCain in an attempt to ensure Obama wins, or to take out Obama to ensure he doesn't win. There is also the factor of McCain's age. None of us know our time and McCain has to be past mid-life.

At this point it seems certain we will not get anything close to a good president so I will pray for God's protection upon His people and, as always, pray "Thy will be done".

"Of two evils, choose neither." Martin Luther

A vote for Bob Barr, Ralph Nader or whoever is a vote for those individuals and counts as such. Obama can't be elected unless enough people vote for him. There is no rule, written or unwritten, which says in order to prevent an Obama win eveyone with a conscience must vote against their conscience for whoever the Republican is. Far more biblical, and in the better interests of America as well, if those who call themselves Christians and conservatives were to select a more suitable candidate and all vote for that person rather than one of the evils presented by the Prince and Power of the Air.

For far too long the Republican Party and an ever growing number of professing Christians and conservatives claim all Christians and conservatives MUST compromise their conscience and principles and vote Republican. How about if we actually put the horse back in front of the cart and all professing Christians and conservatives reject the unworthy Republican candidate for an Independent or Third Party candidate worthy of our votes and see them enter the White House instead of 'evil tweedle dee Republican' or 'evil tweedle dum Democrat'.

Much easier to convince folks to compromise away biblical and conservative principles and conscience than it is to get folks to actually do the right thing. This is why the Republican Party continues down the road of liberalism and why Christians and conservatives continue to lose.

It wouldn't be fair to count Bob Barr out. I know that he has an up hill battle but I am really looking at him very favorably.

I agree. Almost everyone I know is completely unhappy with both Obama and McCain. I think a third independent choice has a very good shot this year.

Personally, I think they are both bad, it's like choosing the lesser of the two evils. :thumbdown

Okay, let's encourage her to do so! :wink

Bob who? He has 5 months to build up enough recognition to be a household word. Not going to happen.
