Members Popular Post weary warrior
I turned 50 this month, my first child is heading to the middle east on deployment this fall, my second child, the cop, is joining the Marines this summer, my third child and her husband are expecting our first grand baby in North Carolina in about 3 weeks and my 4th child graduates high school in May. It's all just too much ... so I went and bought a motorcycle today :). Not ready to strap to that rocking chair just yet. My wife and I had our first date about 27 years ago up here in Alaska, and it was going for a ride in the rain at night on my new motorcycle. When I called her today and said I found one and wanted to buy it, I couldn't even get the words fully out of my mouth before she squealed in excitement and said of course! How could you not love a woman like that?!? It's just an older Honda Gold Wing, but it's in great condition and I got it for $750.00, which is a steal. So I'm good to go. Me and Granny, still taking the road less traveled ... Members No Nicolaitans
My last motorcycle was a Honda Silverwing...the Goldwing's little brother. I bought it for $350, and it was in perfect condition. Only motorcycle I ever owned that was water cooled. That was about 25 years ago (?). Members No Nicolaitans
I grew up riding them. My first motorcycle was a Honda Z-50...got it when I was around 9 years old (?). This was basically it, but mine was blue. I tortured that thing, and it just wouldn't die...

Members weary warrior
My first bike was a little Kawasaki 100 street bike. It was my only transportation, and I road it everywhere. 72 mph wide open, head down between the handlebars. It rains a lot up here in spring, summer and fall, so I spent a lot of ride-time in rain gear. My next bike was a Honda Magna V45. That was a sweet bike, and the one my Shweetie and I took on our first date. There have been a few others since then, all of them overseas where a bike is a much cheaper, more common mode of transportation. But it's been a while. Members Invicta
My last motorcyle was a Norton Dominator 600cc but that was over 50 years ago. I also once had a 500cc Norton sidevalve, I think the model was ES50, but I foung driving with a sidecar was too much hard work.
