Check out Geocentricity.com. Dr. Gerardus D. Bouw is a King James Bible Believer who believes and teaches that the earth is actually the center of the universe. He has some very interesting and compelling arguments too!

At that rate, wouldn't it be egotistical to claim that we're the only life in the universe? God created this earth as the only habitation for man, the crown jewel of His handy work. Why is it so outlandish to think that we're at the center of the universe? As for it being unprovable, so is heliocentrism, for that matter.

Isa 40:22 It is he that sitteth vpon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grashoppers; that stretcheth out the heauens as a curtaine, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwel in:

Seems very plain in the KJV 1611 to me.................

I would tend to believe that Heaven is the center of the universe before any other theory. Science has somewhat shown our galaxy to be towards one side of the universe....I wouldn't be surprised if Heaven is in the middle.

Was that directed towards me? :uuhm:

Certainly not Kit. My most sincere appologies. I was referring to the article. However, do I sense a little guilty conscience?? :hide

We believe that the Bible teaches the universe is shaped like a pyramid, with heaven at the top and the earth and space below a separation made of water. I don't have all the references in front of me, but it's a fascinating study to be sure.

And if the scientists don't know the size, shape or volume of the universe, how could they determine that we're towards a side of it?

Huh?

Okay I'm not going there. Not in the mood for a humongous argument. :lol

I've not studied this in any great depth but from what I have studied I don't see there is any way to know for sure just what shape the universe holds for certain and there is no way to no for certain just where the center is and where we are in relation to that.

Add to this, I don't see this as being overly biblically important, though I can see how it can be interesting.

If the sun revolved around the earth, our entire solar system would fall apart. It would mean that everything we know about space is totally wrong, which it can't be, because the many space missions that have been embarked upon depend on our solar system information being precise.
