2uazu7i1.gif   I have to admit the, "I'm outta here" thread was very disconcerting.

But God works his will in all things and we can only follow the light where it leads. I found this foru in a top 500 Baptist webpage site search list. I'm Ocean. I'm happy to meet you all.

I was Baptised into the church when I was 12. Fell away and ventured about to other things. Now I'm finding my way back to the path where Christ has always called me to be. I'm rambling I guess. So I'll stop here and send hugs and greetings to all who read me now.

God Be Praised,

Howdy.

1) If you died today and stood before God and He asked, "Why should I let you into My Heaven?", how would you respond?

2) What do you suppose being "baptized into the church" did for you?

3) We have others here that are not Baptist but we know what church they are connected with. With that in mind -- what type of congregation do you assemble with?

Hi Ocean, Welcome to OB.

Like Old Fashioned, I too have a question. Were you baptized into the Church? Or into Christ?

Please don't take our questions wrong. We truly are concerned and ask these questions for a reason. Many people submit to Baptism thinking they receive Salvation through submersion in water. Many are taught that they must be baptized in a specific denomination and a certain Church or they cannot be saved.

The truth is, we get Baptized in water as an outward profession of an inner faith. One should already be immersed in the saving Grace of Jesus Christ, or they are still just as lost coming out of the Baptismal basin as they were when they entered the water.
