Our responsibilities later depend on our faithfulness now!

Luke 19:12-27
12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.
13 And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.
14 But his citizens hated him, and sent a message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
15 And it came to pass, that when he was returned, having received the kingdom, then he commanded these servants to be called unto him, to whom he had given the money, that he might know how much every man had gained by trading.
16 Then came the first, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained ten pounds.

17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in a very little, have thou authority over ten cities.

18 And the second came, saying, Lord, thy pound hath gained five pounds.
19 And he said likewise to him, Be thou also over five cities.
20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in a napkin:
21 For I feared thee, because thou art an austere man: thou takest up that thou layedst not down, and reapest that thou didst not sow.
22 And he saith unto him, Out of thine own mouth will I judge thee, thou wicked servant. Thou knewest that I was an austere man, taking up that I laid not down, and reaping that I did not sow:
23 Wherefore then gavest not thou my money into the bank, that at my coming I might have required mine own with usury?
24 And he said unto them that stood by, Take from him the pound, and give it to him that hath ten pounds.
25 (And they said unto him, Lord, he hath ten pounds.)
26 For I say unto you, That unto every one which hath shall be given; and from him that hath not, even that he hath shall be taken away from him.
27 But those mine enemies, which would not that I should reign over them, bring hither, and slay them before me.

Daniel 12:1-3
1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.
2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
3 And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.

(((How bright will you shine?)))

Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:16

a verse applicable to every economy of scripture.

AVBB, I am unsure of where you are getting the word, "economy" in scripture.  I have never seen it used in the word of God.  What does it mean?  It is still confusing to me.

NO matter which time period from Genesis to Rev. this is a verse every believer in God has had and currently can apply to their life.

Enoch (preflood), Noah(pre and post flood), Job, Arbraham (pre-law Patriarchal), Irsrael (law), Paul and the body of Christ (chruch Age), tribulational saints (tribulation), Kingdom saints and the nations(kingdom millennial)

So how then do you decide which verses fit which economy if this verse fits all of them?
Why does this verse fit all economies when the verses all around fit only one of them?

Follow the two verse below is a helpful goal.  And develop a study method.  I have asked John81 to share is right division study method but he has yet to do it.  My was laid out a few times in different posts.

But studying also includes outlining each book of the Bible, then charting or listing thing out. this is difficult as it takes time, you have to study the English words and their meanings and list out words also.  I mentioned in another thread that.  In the major and minor prophets list out the verse concerning Israel's dispersion and the Judgments God lays on them.  Take Daniel and Jeremiah for example, you will find that not all the prophecies took place or they took place in part but not in full.  Highlight the portions of the verses that did not fully come to pass.  Categorize or put in columns these portions the fulfilled part on the left and the unfulfilled part on the right. the only place the one on the right will have their fulfillment is in the Tribulation or the Kingdom.  IN Issiah some of that which did not come to past in history past were fulfilled at the time of Christ (most verse concerning the messiah), but you will notice that some of those verses had the first half of the verse fulfilled at his birth and earthly ministry and the second half of the verse still has not been fulfilled.  It will be done either at the end of the Tribulation or at the first part of the Millennial Kingdom.

At any rate it takes hours and hours of Study I have been ding this since my Salvation in 1993 and I still don't have the Bible all studied out.  But I have read it through so many times  am very familiar with it.  But even then I will re-read a book and I will see something new every time.  i.e. the other day we were reading through Genesis 5-8 to study about Noah at our weekly home church group.  I explained that the Sons of God could be men of the line of Seth.  Then I explained that they could be Angels. And one of the guys said if it was just men why did God inspired Moses to say "daughters of men" if they were all men?  This guy is newly saved and has not read his Bible through and from what I can tell he doesn't read it much even at home.  But this got his attention so he asked, "why say daughters of men if the sons of God were just men too?,  So if the English men being there it would seem that the sons of God were not men".  And you know he could be right.

2Ti 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Do you mean the two verses below Mat 5:16 or the verses you put at the end of your post?

If the former, then that doesn't answer the question.
If the latter, then that doesn't answer the question.
