Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11. I don't believe that, sorry.

The vast majority of the 9-11 terrorists were from Saudia Arabia but we didn't invade them. Yes, I know. Because the Saud's are out friends. :loco None of them are, really.

John I hate to say it but everything you are saying is the same stuff the media tells us. There is really much more to the story, as LuAnne is trying to point out.

I don't believe that Saddaam wasn't a threat to America.

I don't either, HC.

I do believe there were chemical weapons there' date=' and that they were removed beforehand, thanks to media leaks. I know soldiers whose health has been affected by them...during this go-round, not Desert Storm.[/quote']

True. I know this from our soldiers. The Army and Marines pulled the empty containers out before the second war. Canisters of chemical weapons...in fact. Saddam was awful, and his 2 sons were worse (especially the oldest.)

Yep...I know many soldiers whose health is still questionable due to the chemical weapons. During this round, too.

Saddam was NOT going to work with the USA. Point blank. He was aiding his people...NOT us.

I also am sure that the intelligence that said WMI were in Iraq were NOT mistaken' date=' but that they were moved. They have satellite imagery that would show this possibility. The only reason we don't hear about it much is that the media doesn't want anyone thinking Bush was actually right (even though Bush really was just acting on what he was told...Presidents really do get too much credit, whether good or bad.)[/quote']

You've got that right, kitagrl. :amen: :goodpost:

The Bush Administration admitted Iraq had nothing to do with 9-11.

Iraq had no capability to attack America and Saddam was intent upon playing it cool while talking tough for appearances sake. The Bush Administration also admitted that Saddam had been feeding them some intelligence about terrorist organizations through back channels.

It should also not be forgotten that the Bush the First administration gave Saddam the green light to invade Kuwait. Bush the First then turned around and poured forth vast amounts of anti-Saddam propaganda and launched a war against Iraq. This all set the stage for Bush the Second and his Iraq war.

Was not our economy one a down slide as President Clinton went out and President Bush went it? Them look at what happened, 9-11, did Clinton years help bring that about, remember he ignored the affairs of America while trying to reinvent the word IS.

And remember, the one who led to this bail out situation have been in power in our congress for many years.

Blame President Bush, but the fault lies with Saddam, if he had let the inspectors do their job properly, the war would not have taken place. But removing Saddam got rid of a murder, a man who murdered many of his very own people, he needed to be ousted, such a man does not need such power.

And as HappyChristian says.

<<" Um, hate to tell you this, but the rank and file Iraqi would say that you are dead wrong! They celebrated his removal.">>

And maybe America going into Iraq was what God wanted to happened, at least He let it happen.

The current mortgage crisis could be blamed upon many, but the main blame must go upon those in congress who had oversight of Fannie and Freddie, those who are over the banking regulatory committees and President Bush.

All of this has been building for a number of years and congressmen Frank and Dodd (both Dems) could see what was happening yet did nothing. Bush could see what was happening and did nothing. Likely as not they may not have realized just how bad things would get, but they could see things were out of order and something needed to be done to prevent things from going very bad and yet they failed to act. Frank and Dodd are extremely at fault since they were so close to the situation but the president is supposed to lead and take action if others fail to. Bush should have called these two congressmen to task and demanded action be taken but he didn't.

The fact that Clinton basically left the economy alone was the reason the economy was good during the Clinton years. The Republicans in congress blocked, or would have blocked, most of Clintons economic plans so he never really pushed them. Thus not much was done on the economic front which gave the economy and markets stability which gave us a good economy. The good economy wasn't because of Clinton, but because he was president at the time he gets credit.

The coming of a bail out. Who is to blame, every congressman and every president in the last several years, it did not happen over night, it was a long drawn out process, they, our politicians, sold out to the almighty dollar of the big boys who could afford to buy them off and this is what it led to. But that is the way of the affairs of this life, affairs of this world, its a crooked business that no solider of God should get their self tangled up with in no manner or fashion.

2 And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

3 Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.

4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

2 Tim 2:2-4 (KJV)

But I understand well, its so hard not to get involved, for we all like the things that money will bring into our lives, but saying that we are to be over comers. We can be over comers & we can be content in this life without joining in with and tying our self to the ways of this world, that is the affairs of this life.

Things want change in Washington unless you move everyone of them who are the problem and replace them, but the big boys have plenty of money to buy out another batch of congressman, they've been doing this for many years now and they are well experienced in buying favors.

I expect many Christians are tied to groups who have lobbyist, who try to influence congressmen, probably even offering gifts to them to do things that will bring more money into their portfolios of stock and retirement funds and or increase their wages and or other such things where they can live a better life while abiding on this earth with more money in their accounts. That is affairs of this life spoken of in 2 Timothy 2:2-4. We are to be a separate and peculiar people, but we can't when we are tied to the affairs of this world.
