Today I am going to be thankful that I have many kids in life even though the Lord has not seen fit to give me many of my own. (I'm working on it)

We got our first snow yesterday - it was light and didn't stick, but the cold is officially here...I am thankful for heat in the winter! At work I can just go to the thermostat and turn it up when I'm cold. We haven't turned our heat on at home yet (we use an electric heater until we absolutely have to turn on the furnace), but we have some wonderfully warm blankets. :thofftobed7lpsl4:

Our weather is still unseasonably warm. We have flowers in the garden which would normally be over more than a month ago.

We have a gas boiler and we leave it on all the year for hot water, just kept on a timer, twice a day.. The heating is from the same boiler, but via a digital thermostat. It is set at 19 degrees during the day, 21 in the evening and 10 Celsius overnight. Much cheaper than electricity. We don't have to worry about it all year, if it gets below those temperatures it switches on. If we need a higher (or lower) temperature I can increase the setting and at the next change it will return to the presets, or if we go away for a while, I can set it on manual and it will stay at the temperature I set till we return. It has been coming on in the evenings for the last week.
