Never, Always, and derivatives.
Example: You never say nice things about my aunt.

The above is just one example of many. During the course of discussions, arguments, and debates we should
be aware of how (never, always, and derivatives) are used. I believe it's a form of judgement which Christians
should be extremely careful using.

The above might be revised as...

Do you recall saying something nice about Aunt Bessy? Isn't there something about her you can like?

We would all do well to gain mastery of our tongue (and typing).

Sometimes many of us fail especially when online where, for some reason (which is unbiblical) we conduct ourselves and speak in manners we would not in person.

Our speech, whether in person, letters, via e-mail, forums, blogs, etc., should be in accord with the Word of God. Consider the warning about our every idle word---yikes!!!

The tongue, which includes all our forms of communication, is a powerful thing and something we certainly need to diligently submit to the Lordship of Christ daily, even hourly.

This thread reminded me of something very funny I overheard in the grocery store check-out line. A teen-ager was on her phone (I'm starting to think they produce teen-agers with permanent cell-phone ear implants--I can't remember the last time I saw a teen-ager who WASN'T on their phone!), anyway a teen-ager was on her cell phone and she declared emphatically that "never ever in the history of everdom will I ever speak to her again!!".

Oh goodness, that makes me laugh out loud even now. That's one I hadn't heard before. I didn't know there was a "history of everdom." Now we all know!

Pity you can't produce a double negative with having too many 'ever's'! I think she came close...

She certainly did, didn't she Salyan? I'm not sure her sentence actually made sense, but I don't believe she was actually going for grammatical correctness. Either that or her multiple facial peircings were short-circuiting her brain synapses.

Ah, Wal-Mart. Going to Wal-Mart is like opening a box of chocolates. You never know what you're going to get.

Perhaps they should consider changing their logo from "Always Low Prices" to "Always An Adventure".

By my count I have used "always" twice and "never" once in this post alone. ITim115 is probably going to come in here and take away my library card! :icon_redface:
