She often uses big words. I'm often impressed. :frog:

I was just referring to "attenuated." Then she used a word the other day when she cleaned up the "training children" thread, can't remember what it was now. It was impressive, though. :wink

I find them rather interesting myself. :wink

I've got to relearn a lot of them, though, I'm afraid. I think my time in Korea dumbed down my speech a little. Happens when you're trying to communicate with little kids in broken English everyday. :frog:

When our missionaries come off the field for furlough, it's interesting to hear them preach if they are used to preaching in another language. It's hard for them to get back into preaching in English, and they often tend to forget the English word here and there.

LOL. That's funny. I was never quite that bad because I did speak in English, though broken, during the day and would talk to my family via skype sometimes. Most of the prOBlems I have had were slipping with Korean. I used to sometimes accidentally speak in Korean in the classroom(was supposed to be all English) and I still use Korean when I get frustrated, I guess because of the emotional/psychological reaction that is connected with those words.

you got to remember, they could have a very rich Korean language , almost the same as English.( sign language can be too, especially when more deaf people are communicating on the internet on video, they learn a new language all the time)

Now, this couldn't be because you love all things Korean, could it? Oh - my Sunday School class supports one of our missionaries to Korea. They are on deputation and will be heading over this summer (June, likely).

Cool. :)

I do love Korea but some of it really is just habit. I pretty much lost all English words for frustration in Korea(I was never frustrated when talking to my family lol) so those emotions are more connected to Korean words than English, at least they were. It's not so much the case anymore since I've been back for a while. Some Korean habits have stuck a little, too. Whenever giving or receiving things in Korea, you're supposed to use two hands so I find my left hand reaching up with my right hand when paying for things sometimes. lol

Because you got frustrated alot in Korea, it is usually a sign of communication issue (in your case, you are trying to teach kids English and had a hard time making it clear to them rather in Korea which prOBably isn't your first language, or in English which isn't their first language ) . This is why I won't deal with some doctors and people.

I never got frustrated with communication issues, I'm a pretty patient guy, in general. I usually got frustrated with discipline issues or the way my boss was treating me or one of my coworkers. Or just everyday frustrations that arise.

I rather build immunity from a weakened or dead virus than live healthy one.

The flu mist have the weakened virus and doesn't contained mercury at all.

I'm really concern for our son than myself. I do not want him to die from the swine flu because of his severe asthma and frequent bronchitis (<---he get this often because of his asthma).

The thing is that doesn't work.

Many keep claiming falsely that the flu shot gives people the flu, but it does not. UNLESS that person is sick at the time of the shot, which is why I did not get one last year.

And I understand well, those who claim this, there is nothing that can be said to make them understand this.

One more thing, very healthy along with unhealthy people and many in between these 2 groups gets the flu. Its been proven that a simple flu shot can stop it.

That is the reason our Armed Services require all of its members to get a flu shot each year, because it saves them many dollars treating the flu, plus the loss of man man hours from our soldiers. I might add, the average solider it very healthy.
