Okay, so I asked about Billy Graham last week.....this week is Adrian Rogers. He is most commonly known for his program "Love Worth Finding" and pastoring a very large church. He has been accused of getting caught up in money instead of souls by some, but others have praised his powerful and convicting preaching along with what some call his "depth of knowledge". What are your thoughts. I look forward to all comments.

God Bless,

He never ran in the same circles with anyone I knew. Maybe you could post a short bio.

I've found his preaching very edifying, comforting and exalting the Savior. His personal life I know nothing about nor do I care to.

But you put down the sinners prayer as easy believeism, amazing.

The broadcast sermons ended with a simple prayer (I'm paraphrasing - I presume you can hear it on line.)
"Lord Jesus I come to you;
I'm a sinner;
you died for sinners, therefore for my sins;
I believe that;
thank you for saving me."
If you sincerely prayed that prayer, you are saved, regardless of how you live your life. Your sins are forgiven.

Yes. Easy believism. However there ARE those who have sincerely prayed that prayer in true repentance & faith, & their lives have been changed. It is the glib assurance that is wrong, not the prayer.
