Some of you probably already noticed a new look for the boards. If you have not noticed anything yet, it is because you are logged in and you have your theme set at Subsilver2 in your UCP. If you wish to view it just change your theme to Prosilver. In the near future Prosilver will be the main theme and colors all across Online Baptist, and Subsilver2 will be no more. Now that phpBB has finally finalized the version we are using I plan on taking the database of phpBB and making our own custom CMS. Please try out Prosilver and get used to the new look now. Happy New Year Everyone!!!

Anyone watch the Penguins and Sabres game today? They played outdoors at the Bills stadium. It was pretty exciting. Pens won 2-1 in a shootout where Crosby scored the winner.

Sand dunes.

We are going to go 4x4ing for a day in the sand dunes with the thing in my avatar. There is a place about 100miles away from our house that is great for sand work, and this will be our first outing with this van. The sand at Lancelin is normally pretty soft and can catch you out pretty easily but I have not run into trouble up there before. There will be more than a few of these vans - called "Delica"s - going up for the run with some of the guys staying overnight, some staying longer and some of us just going for a day trip. Looks like there may be about 10 or so heading up - should be a good day. Maybe I will post a few pics here when we get back - about another …

So, over Christmas, my four boys have been, well, okay I love 'em, but sometimes they drive me pretty crazy. Haha. Ages 7, 5, 2 1/2, and 5 mos. Since I have all boys, and young ones at that, I'm taking a poll from those who have teens or grown children, as to what is easier. Thanks!

I ask because for years I took once a day multi-vitamins, on an off, because they never seemed to do anything. I started taking concentrated fish oil with omega 3 about 6 months ago and the changes where amazing. I started taking it for the heart benefits, but just for what it's been doing for my skin is crazy, took years off. On christmas my family got on the topic of suppliments, and one of my sisters suggested I go to a liquid multi-vitamin, she told me she took pill form for years and some people just don't digest it. The very next DAY after taking a shot of centrum liquid I had so much energy it was scary. I understand placebo effect and I can assure you this w…

I notified everyone 2 weeks ago, they could pitch in 20 bucks for Christmas gift for the boss. A couple people opted out. One guy got very vocal about how we didn't get him anything for his birthday... but this guy is pretty much a known liar, thief, con artist, womanizer... one of those types of people that you can't trust them if they say the sky is blue. Everyone who was going too, pitched in the money.. I bought the gifts, and a card. I put the card in my personal box at work. As people could without the boss seeing... they would take out the card and sign it. Well.. this guys name is on the card. He has made it obvious that he's not chipping in. I made it …

I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. For those of us that know the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, Christmas mean more to us than it does to the world. On this day we celebrate the birth of Jesus which can be found in be found in [bible]Matthew 1:18-25[/bible], and in [bible]Luke 2:1-20[/bible]. Jesus was unlike any other baby born, the one born that night in Bethlehem had no earthly mother or Father, and was given birth by the virgin Mary. God knew His Son would be the sacrifice for out sins, yet He loved us enough to send his Son to be born among sinners and to die between sinners. Like the song says, He was Born to die. Thank you Jesus. While we are o…

I'm in a bit of a quandry! The missus bought me a Thompson Chain the other day and I told her that the next bible I was going to invest in was gonna be an Bearing Precious Seed. But, I really dig the Cambridge as well (save for the fact that it doesn't have a wide margin :sad ). For what I want (wide margin, no concord, no maps, no commentary, leather bound and with correct spellings and capitalizations. Not to mention one that lasts (no I can't afford an R.L. Allan)) I just can't decide?? Bearing Precious Seed: Link or Cambridge: Link

Proverbs 23:21 says, For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty: and drowsiness shall clothe a man with rags." Gluttony or overeating is a sin many Christians tolerate and sweep under the rug. It is not like smoking, drinking, and drug abuse where you can openly see the destructive results! But gluttony is a sin because we abuse our bodies which are temples of the Holy Spirit! Paul says in I Corinthians 6:19-20 says, "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God, in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's." …

Not sure if this is the most appropriate forum, but I guess it'll get moved if it isn't Is anyone here currently in Bible college, just left, or just about to attend? I, God willing, will probably be attending a Bible college in 2008, sooner or later will depend on God I guess. There is over here only 2 Bible colleges, that have sound teaching AFAIK. So far I don't believe the Lord is leading me that way, I believe I will probably be attending one in the states. So basically, any recommendations anyone? I only know of a few of them in the states, most of which I wouldn't want to be within a 1 mile radius of. The ones I have put under consideration, e.g. prayer …
