Heh! National Dem. Party. It seems like they're attempting to blow up and bring down the USA. I hope it blows up in their face instead.

A book that every Christian ought to read. It will allow us to appreciate the "veterans" of our faith (as well as other faiths) who jeopardized their lives for the cause of Christ.

We need a wireless system for the hearing impaired. Probably four receivers. I've found a Nady ALD800 system for $368. Does anyone have other better/cheaper suggestions?

This article wasn't written by a Christian but she is right on the money about her point - and she's from Berkely, even!! For the rest of the article: http://www.americanthinker.com/2009/07/sarah_palin_vs_the_marquis_de.html We know the answer is Christ = but I think it's interesting that a psychotherapist from Berkely sees what she does!

Linda had left this morning at about 10:00 AM to go set up with her father in the VA hospital tonight. She called just a few minutes ago to let me know he had died. This has been a rough round. He walked into the VA under his own power, he was a bit dehydrated, they were going to give him fluids for a couple of days and he would be back home. It seems the heart doctor thought he needed his heart medicine changed, this he did, from there it was downhill. When he changed the medicine he could get up, walk around, set and eat, less that 24 hours after this he was laying in the bed and knew nothing. The heart doctor came to us and told us he had an infection, it must …

I'm curious as to how much we all have in common in this area. To many Americans, private music instruction is considered a necessary part of a child's education; to others, it's not as important. Where are you on this issue? I'd love to hear your ideas.

I have deleted some and rearranged others. I took out ones that were hardly ever used. While we don't have official category titles in the emoticon system yet, I did put them all in order in imaginary categories. If you open up the big page of emoticons, you will see that they are in order in the following categories: Smiling Friendly Happy Laughing Teasing Sarcastic Irritated Shocked Angry Sad Embarrassed Ill Sleep Family Food Misc. Signs Hopefully this will help you find what you are looking for more quickly. If there used to be an emoticon that you liked that I deleted, please describe it to me and I'll see about adding it back.

I was in the process of adding some smilies and hit the wrong function. Many smilies are now missing. That's ok though because I was going to rearrange stuff anyway. Bear with me. This might take a few days.

I didn't realize it had been so long since I had been here, thought I would stop in and say hello. A lot has happened in the last two years, my son is home from Iraq, and he has started his family. He and my dil have a beautiful baby girl, Roxie, who just turned a year in May. I have gone back to school, and am starting my second year next month. I am majoring in Computer Information Systems. Other than being uber busy, all is well!!

This is for you. http://www.snakesaliveinc.com/default.asp?GoTo=ga&Gal=Six I took my kids and my mom to our local library yesterday for a "Snakes Alive!" program. Ron Cromer does presentations in schools, libraries, VBS, etc. in the eastern U.S. about harmless reptiles, particularly snakes. He brought about 24 snakes with him, a blue-tongued skink, an iguana and a 14 ft. python. You can see pictures on his website. His presentation was fascinating, informative and very funny. He also made it a point to let everyone know he is a born again Christian and that Jesus Christ is his Lord and Savior. Anyhooooo, I volunteered to be a snake-handler. We adul…

Recently, I decided to embark on creating an intuitive bible search.... Ideally, I'd like to support "google-like" search features, but exclusively for searching scripture. So, you can just start tying a verse, what a verse sounds like, or key words in a verse, and they'll popup instantly as you type. Once you find the verse you're looking for, you can click on it and then read the verse completely in context. When viewing chapters of the Bible, you can also turn on "Strong's Concordance" and the "Words of Christ in Red", as optional features. This site has no ads, and won't ever, as I don't like the idea personally of profiting from advertisement's on God's word. …

What does it take to become a follower of Christ? Is it a matter of reciting a certain prayer? No. A prayer of faith may facilitate discipleship but it does not initiate it. We aren't saved by saying magic words. Does it require the mastery of certain doctrine? It is true that there are certain truths that are the bedrock of faith, you can know the right answers and still not be a true follower of Christ. Discipleship is not simply an exam you must pass. Is it about church attendance/involvement? These things are valuable resources for a follower of Christ but joining the church and following Christ are not necessarily the same thing. As the old saying goes, "going …
