I was recently down and a bit discouraged because I couldn't see the path where God was leading me. So I decided to not be discouraged because that was wasting my time that I could have been reading my bible and focusing on God, instead of crying and being upset. I am glad God answered me and my prayers after a lot of weeping and praying and being in the scriptures. I mean think about it how many times does God answer prayer? If some of you could share some times it would be great so we can all rejoice together as brothers and sisters in Christ. I think the replies should be very interesting and great to hear. Isn't it amazing how God has the ability to answer prayer?

Things have been real tight financially around here for the past couple of months but we haven't told anybody about that so this blessing is even more of a blessing. This morning two men stopped by the house while I was away. They gave my wife a ham and an envelope and left. My wife waited until I got home to open the envelope since it was addressed to both of us. Inside the envelope is a FIFTY dollar gift certificate good at our local grocery store! Praise God!!! A ham and a fifty dollar gift certificate to the grocery store: totally unexpected! We truly serve a wonderful, loving Father God! Thank you Heavenly Father! Praise and glory be to You forever and ever! …

On Wednesday nights I drive a van route to pick up kids for church. My route happens to be in a very rough area, and some of the kids I pick up are very difficult to deal with. I was on my way to church with my overloaded 15 passenger van when some of the kids in the back began screaming at each other. I pulled to the side of the road and warned the kids to settle down. Well, a few minutes later it happened again. I mean it was really bad. I told the kids that that was their last warning, and that if they continued acting like that, I would have to take them home. Before I pulled back onto the road, it started again. I turned around and began driving back to their neighb…

Today was my last day of school I woke up feeling so sick and didn't want to get out of bed so I struggled getting out of bed and just felt all around horrible so I prayed that God would give me the strength I needed. So after struggling out of bed I then went and showered, got dress, read my bible and left for the day. I was late catching my bus so I thought I was going to be late. I got to school and was there with twenty minutes to spare so I got ready for school put my uniform on and everything. A girl then started asking me questions that were gonna be on the test and I was getting every one of them wrong. I got discouraged a little so then I said another little pray…

This post is kind of going to be long. I just want to give God all the glory and praise through all the sufferings. My dad has many health problems and lives in pain each and every day of his life. He started to really get sick when I was in middle school, and over the years it has gotten worse. Due to sickness, he had to stop working in 2002, and as I went through my last year of middle school, and early years of high school, I would often question why did he have to be sick? I did not understand, and to this day I will never understand what he goes through each day. There are many Wednesdays and Sundays my daddy can't make it to church due to his health, but each and ev…

After seeking God and re-examining my life as a Christian and finally realizing with the help of God and others I decided with much prayer and guidance to write my testimony again. I was born in a Christian home but just because I was doesn't mean I was saved young.. I went to church to obey my parents and I guess you can say I thought it was an obligation. I lived my life the way my parents wanted me to till I became older. I started hanging out with people who were ungodly and did horrible things as the years went on I got worse I started smoking and drinking I even ran away from home. In grade 9 my friend died and I grew into a big depression and blamed my sel…

Last night was such an interesting night. A big blessing for me - I found some new shoes! This may sound small, but it's big for me. I'm not a shoe-shopping fan. I like to have a few comfortable yet classic and quality pairs and then just wear them a long time. I hate when it comes around to shoe shopping times because it's hard to find just that right pair. I had a pair of Rockports (great shoes, btw!) that served me well for a long time, and they were still holding up well but were stretched out and looked old. It's especially difficult to find shoes here because the women's feet are small, and even the biggest ones in the store are just a hair too small for me u…

Recently I told one of my friends that told me she claimed to be saved and that she was a Christian..We were best friends but she was going to marry some one who was totally against God and I felt obligated to be faithful to God. After doing it I realized it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. No tears or pain has come from it and that is because I was doing it for God and for myself so I can grow in his love. He is my comforter and if you ever think anything is too hard just give it to God. God can handle anything he doesn't want things to be so hard. God is the only one who understands you and he is the best comforter of all. Have you felt the comforter? Have you b…

I know this topic is definately a topic that is hard to thank God and give him praise for. Recently I was reminded of unconfessed sin I had in my life that I had remembered about and that God convicted me of. When you have unconfessed sin in your life and you don't give it to him then it keeps you from really growing in the Lord and being in his will. Thank you Lord for convictions that make us grow in you

Just today I was convicted through two messages I heard. One was about how you should get rid of obstacles that keep you from God and then right after we heard about the comforter. God brings comfort when you are being persecuted he brings comfort when you are struggling and finally he brings comfort when you just had a bad day. God is the comforter.

Just recently I got reminded how it is good to have Godly role models. In this case God has given me women from church that I can have fellowship which that I can talk to about anything and we will have a lot in common. Most importantly we have God that we can pray to about any need and not have to worry if he is listening or not because he ALWAYS hears. Psalm 138vs3. There are many more verses that say God hears this one just spoke to me the most because of the other verses around it for example look at verse 7: Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save …

He received the bill for just the hospital stay - not the doctor's bill, yet. The bill was $91,000! He must have some pretty good insurance since the insurance company wouldn't pay the 2 miscellaneous charges of $.01 each. He owes only :2cents

My girlfriend came into town (with her mom)... and left as my fiance. :Green She met my parents, and they loved her. I proposed to her at a nature trail in Wichita, KS, last Saturday (Nov. 17) afternoon. Everything went wonderfully at church yesterday as well. Some pictures are attached. [attachment=2] [attachment=1] [attachment=0] Yep yep yep, we're engaged. I don't have any pictures of the ring, because I'm a guy. :Green Nope, we don't yet have a date set for when Rachel Guy becomes Rachel Adra... but I can't wait! Psalm 68:19 ? "Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah."

My son has made the decision to get baptized on Sunday evening. He even invited our next door neighbors to come and see it, and they said they could. We have tried for a couple of years to come to just 1 service. Praise God they are coming! Our neighbors are great people, and we love them. They are Lutherans. I do not know if they are saved - just because you are a Lutheran doesn?t mean you can't be saved. Pray for them on Sunday evening, please.

As you know we were robbed this past week. Well, today we were able to get a new computer, and I'm so thankful for it! Also I'd just like to praise God for some valuable lessons we've learned through this whole experience. And I'd also like to praise God for many friends/family who have been a wonderful comfort and support to us this week too!

Today has been a great day and it makes me happy because I know " I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" God has proven over and over again to the people that have needed it the most. When you pray for strength he gives it. With out the strength of God we have reason to fear and run away. If you look at Psalms 27vs1 you see "The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Thank God he gives Strength to those who need it.

I got into a discussion with my sister about our childhood and she brought something up in my mind that made me question why should I complain when I now have so much and use to have so little. There is a scripture that keeps coming up in my mind so much and it says " Be ye content with such things as ye have" When I read this it makes me thankful why bother to complain when God will supply for you. (Philippians 4:19) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. I mean if he will supply for us what will go wrong.

This week it just seems like everything has been happening in life so many trials so many road blocks but in the end it has made you stronger... When you think that life is too hard just remember there is someone who has been through so much more for us...I mean think about it for a second someone actually dying for you....That is something you can't comprehend because what person would ever die for you? Well that some one is Jesus... How great that is that he would love his own so much and see us as someone he loves when he doesn't have to.... I thank him for his forgiveness and his love and for trials that make you stronger.....

hi my name is Cherise and was born into a Christian home.... I have not always been faithful to him there were times that I turned to other things less superior and thought that they could give me hope.... I lost my brother at the age of six and that has been one of the most horrible things that has ever happened to me I blamed myself for his death and was in a lot of pain and thus blaming my self I had low self esteem and not much confidence in who I was... When I got into high school I started hanging out with the wrong crowds and doing things like drinking and things similar to that.... In grade 9 my best friend died from getting hit by a car... I blamed my self again…

Praise The Lord!!!!! Let me start from the beginning. Bro. Asa and Mrs. Angie Samples are missonairies out of our church to Idaho. They are such a blessing. Bro. Asa and his wife started a church in Idaho. Bro. Asa witnessed to a man and the man did not want anything to do with God. One night Bro. Asa was driving and that same very man was drunk, and was in Bro. Asa's pathway of driving. He hit the man and the man was killed. Bro. Asa was driving at the right speed and taking all saftey procautions while driving. This whole year Bro. Asa has went to court, and trial daytes for this man's death. We have been praying all year long, for the Lord to work it out to where God w…
