:wave: Hello all. I actually joined a few months ago. But due to differant circumstances, I haven't been on-line for awhile. But thanks be to God.....I am back. ALOT has gone on since my last visit here. If you do not mind....I will give you a small fill in. My mom went to be with the Lord On Sept 6th. We just moved out to the country. Hello everyone, i'm an Idependant Fundamental Baptist man from Wales. (Where it always, always, always rains! (well actually its not quite true because I remember it stopped raining once in the early 90s and a big bright ball apeared in the sky).) Hello All, I love to pray, Praise The LORD, Do Bible Study,Cook and keep a clean house, go to church, fellowship in Christ, Witness,Encourage My Dearly Beloved in Christ, and Much more in Christ Jesus. Hi. I am a student of the Word of God that enjoys discussing things concerning the Bible. I attended three years at Heartland Baptist Bible College and was well known for my philosphical discussions in the dorms. After spending three years at Heartland, God has lead me to the Apache Creek Deaf and Youth Ranch where I do all the "tech" work. I am finishing my Bible degree through a correspondence school and hope to start my Masters soon. Now that I no longer have the opportunity to discuss with friends in my dorm I decided to join in the discussions that I had previously only spectated.

I live in west virginia, whey up in the mountains. I grew up and graduated from a baptist school although I don't believe all baptist theology. I still love the people. I just joined the forum and am looking forward to getting involved with some discussions. I have been saved since I was 14 years old. I was a member of our local Independent Baptist Church for about 36 years. My family left that church for a new Southern Baptist Church but after three years of dealing with me, God has led us back to our old church. It was like coming home again.

First posting - I happened in all honesty to stumble across this site a couple of weeks ago. I would say that theres alot that goes on here and could be useful. Where to start, well, Good question. Hi people, Im Micki Harjo...wife of Bobby Harjo, a full blood Seminole/Creek indian. We have been Missionaries on the Navajo Reservation since 2000. I have 7 wonderful kids, an amazing little granddaughter and a beautiful daughter-in-law. I found Online Baptist while looking for web sites of independent Baptist churches. My wife and I are new to deputation and are trying to find independent churches that are open to taking on new missionaries. Pray for us as we raise support. We are working with the deaf in the US and abroad. We were in Jamaica for a week during the first part of July and saw 35 come to Christ, praise the Lord! We saw 27 more come to Christ at deaf camp in Tennessee. The Lord is convicting the hearts of many deaf right now, and we need to reach them before the JWs and Mormons do. Many years ago I came across a sermon an IB preacher named Gary Dice when he visited Australia, and from memory he was preaching on this passage, or at least referencing it. He sang a slightly silly song about this section of Romans 7, but I have never been able to find any reference to it anywhere else. I would appreciate it if anyone has heard of it and could give me a reference or link to it, or best case, the sheet music. I know there are many songs that come up when you do a google search, but none of them have been the one I am looking for. It has the words almost direct from the KJV, not just something loosely based on that text. Thanks folks. -

I also noticed he seems quieter, perhaps more humble this time. But even last time I had come to view his particular tendency to boast as just having an immensely positive attitude. He's also careful to thank others and to offer credit where credit is due, while having no compunctions about calling out anyone who deserves none. -

Just to clarify on the repenting God did when Israel turned from their evil ways. The thing here is that their turning from evil ways here is called... works. So since salvation isnt by works ..and turning from evils ways IS works.. hence the issue with repent meaning 'turn from sin'. So there is what I was meaning. -

Thankfully the pastors I know NEVER STOPPED preaching the gospel. Remember, TGL, they're to preach the whole counsel of God, not just salvation messages. And just to be clear, preaching messages that promote conservative, Biblical values is imperative. Maybe one should let the Holy Spirit guide in what these pastors preach, eh?
