13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matt 7:13-14 (KJV)

Seems to, one being saved is an exception too.

So true, Jerry. I have prayed many times that God would not give us any children that would not be saved, because, indeed, the Bible says salvation is the exception.

Yes it does, I can't understand why some of our bothers and sisters thinks the majority of all humans are saved.

Of course when I was young and growing up I was very naive. I recall a friend of mine saying to me, "Father, mother, & I went to the drive in movie Sunday night." I asked him, "How could you do that, everybody goes to church on Sunday night, don't they?" That's right, until I got in high school I thought everyone went to church on Sunday mornings, Sunday nights, and Wednesday nights except for my father. When I found out everyone did not attend church services I was quite shocked.

Maybe there's still lots of naive Christians.

I tickled to announce that my Sweety, Darlene, is going to have # 9. The baby is due in Feb. 2010. We are so excited.

Ben

I think it would be just dandy if the baby were born on the 26th!!! :thumb:

Psa 127:3 Lo, children [are] an heritage of the LORD: [and] the fruit of the womb [is his] reward.
Psa 127:4 As arrows [are] in the hand of a mighty man; so [are] children of the youth.
Psa 127:5 Happy [is] the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.

Psa 37:25 I have been young, and [now] am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.

Verse 5. "I remember a great man coming into my house, at Waltham, and seeing all my children standing in the order of their age and stature, said, "These are they that make rich men poor." But he straight received this answer, "Nay, my lord, these are they that make a poor man rich; for there is not one of these whom we would part with for all your wealth." --Joseph Hall, 1574-1656. From The Treasury of David.

Outside of a life that has been consecrated to the Lord and the seeking of his face, the above verses do not apply. They, however, have been the verses upon which my family has cast the anchor of our hope. If God does not bless, if he neither builds, then all efforts are in vain. But, if he is the centerpiece of the family...happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them.

Bro. Ben

P.S. Thank you for your kind comments, we are so happy. I do wonder with my wife's hair turning grey and mine turning loose:lol: if folks won't wonder if we aren't Papa and Nana!:icon_biggrin:
