It rain-snowed last night. The fresh damp snow on the grass was an awfully pretty sight, even though I've been dreading the snow this year.

Snow causes so much trouble, many wrecks, & even some deaths, for many refuse to slow down & drive safely, & when they happens there's nothing pretty about them.

Snow can look pretty, snow can be great for kids to play in, but for those who have to drive snow isn't as pretty and nothing to be playing in.

It's also National Cinnamon Roll Day, too.  I had one for breakfast.

Yes, snow can be pretty, but it can cause some awful things too.

 

Snow ice cream! Yummy!

 

As I have mentioned before, the year that we got more than 17 inches & many chicken houses feel I changed my feelings about snow. Plus a neighbor of mine nearly got killed in his chicken house, he had just walked out of one of his chicken house, had made two steps from the door & it went to the ground. If He had not stepped out he would have been dead & no one would have found him until they went to check on him!

Now, Cinnamon Rolls can taste just great. 

 

Sometime back I took two slices of light bread & placed on tin foil, covered one side of the light bread with butter, them covered the butter with cinnamon, them covered the cinnamon with sugar, Them place it in the oven turning it to 375º to broil.

 

I don't remember how long I left it in there, I just kept an eye on it until I thought it was ready.

 

It was very YUMMY!

 

Since them I've done that several times, its always YUMMY!

Each morning I eat a sausage, with buttermilk biscuit, two slices of bacon.

 

I cut the biscuit in half, put honey on each half, break up one piece of bacon to place on the bottom half of the biscuit, them place the sausage on top of that, them place the other piece of bacon on that, them place the top half of the biscuit on that. Its YUMMY!

 

My wife eats 3 pieces of bacon, & one fried egg.

 

 

I never cared for eggs in the morning, I like scrambled eggs at supper time.

 

And I just noticed this is only post number 23006!

Oh, yes, I like cinnamon toast, too. I've never baked it like that, but I'm sure it's delicious that way.

 

The taco I had for lunch was very good.  It was not the way I ordered it (although it was still delicious), so they gave me one the way I ordered it.  I brought it home for my hubby so he can celebrate National Taco Day too.     (and let it be known to all readers that I did NOTplace NOT in my statement...nor the throwing up emoticon   )

I don't care for tacos but my wife and son like them. I eat something else when they have tacos.

My Mom's fried chicken and her homemade pizza were the best! My wife can sometimes come close on the fried chicken, but I've never tasted a homemade pizza anywhere near as good as my Mom's.  

 

My sister can make a meatloaf that's about as good as Mom's, but she can't cook anything else like Mom did.

Isn't it something how we still like Mom's cooking even when we are adult...and graying.  My mom cooks stuff better than anybody I know.  And she makes the best salad - even if it's only lettuce, tomato and onion!  I don't know why that is, but it is.  And now, my son likes most of what I cook, so my DIL has asked me more than once how I fix something.  She hasn't cooked much in her life, so that's ok.  She's learning and I'm sure will become a wonderful cook.
