ok now to explain on valentines day one year I gave my granpa a little heart charm and that was my heart and he was saving it until I got maried and then he would give it to my husband well he died a week and a half before my 16th birthday this year and he knew he was going to so he went out and bought me a new heart that has my intials on it and on the back it says love Grandpa so I wtill have "my heart" charm that I have given gpa but I don't want to keep it because I know that I will easily give it away sooo...........

I don't think that would be inappropriate. However, not knowing how close you are with your youth pastor, I can't really say what you should do. It would depend most on how close you are to them and how much contact you think you will have with them after you leave for school.
