A web based Instant Messaging system like msn/yahoo, or chat rooms?

Chat room with private messages. I know some chatrooms allow to do that like nethogschat.com (you can sign in as guest to see how it works)

edited: if you ever do go to that chat, and see nethog online, he might tell you how he did it. He is really nice.

I have MSN with people I know, I would like a chat room to use here on OB that is something I don't have to download.

I like the chatroom idea too. Like a java program that you can bring up from the web. And something that doesn't pop up evertime a person says something making it so I can't respond to posts. :D

Neither would affect me. I don't have for chats nor enough friends for instant messaging.

I noticed you got Beta Chat there Matt. Just as a note, Beta chat has some sort of bug where if one user ignores another, it will occasionally boot that user up to seven times in a row(it's happened to me and others I know) before it will let them into chat. I don't think anybody here would put someone else on iggy, but just as a warning.

BTW-There is a way to disable the iggy feature. Not sure how to do it tho.

You all will have to try the chat it is very very nice and we can get into some intensive topics in there. Maybe if we twist Bro Jerry's arm and he will teach us a Bible study one night a week?

The new flashchat you put in. If I were to put you on ignore, you'd have a little box flash in front of your screen saying that you are being ignored by me. A lot of times, the chat will freeze at that point, and you'll have to log out and log back in. When you log back in, the box will appear in front of you again. Sometimes you'll be able to exit that little window out and continue to chat with no problem. But sometimes it will freeze your screen.

It is actually hit or miss. There was a whole crew of us in it last night and we solved all the worlds problems. :D

I found that out too. By the time I finished typing something out last night in the chat they were on another subject, so I retyped it again and by he time I was done they were on something else. :|
