I'm drinking organic green tea soda. Tastes like Pepsi with a hint of green tea....pretty good stuff though. :lol

I saw a YouTube video on a health web site showing how to make your own green tea soda. If I find it again I'll post it here. Personally I'd rather just drink iced green tea, but some folks gotta have their soda (or pop, or coke, or whatever :lol ).

Is this it? :lol

It's not near as dark as the stuff I had though. What I had was closer to the color of Pepsi. Iced green tea is alright too, but I prefer a hot cup of brown rice green tea. :thumb

If you mean bagging them and stuff then no. I mostly enjoy Asian teas and I love trying anything new I can get a hold of. Some of their teas have to be mixed up though, so in that sense, I "make" them. Just made some Job's Tears tea about an hour ago. It's one of my favorites, especially when it's pre-made in a Korean vending machine. :drool

OK, now you've gone and done it, Kevin. You've gotten me all curious about Korean teas. :frog

So what are my chances of finding a good Korean tea outside of Korea?

Well, Job's Tears tea is very difficult to find in the US. Good quality anyway. The stuff I have now, a Korean friend sent to me.
Otherwise, you can find a fairly large selection of Korean teas if you have any Korean grocery stores near you. I'm fortunate in that there are a lot of Koreans in Maryland, especially as you get closer to DC. There are three Korean groceries near us.

I'm not sure where you are in Texas but here's what I found.
Komart-Houston, Gessner road near I-10.
My Thanh Supermarket(not Korean but general Asian)- http://www.mtsupermarket.com/contact.html
Komart- North Dallas(in Koreatown) on Royal Lane.
http://www.koreanfeast.com/korean_markets_in_the_us.htm A whole list of Asian groceries in the country.

You can also order online:
http://www.hmart.com(store where I shop here in Maryland)
http://www.kgrocer.com
http://www.koamart.com

Be careful when you shop that you get real Korean tea too. If it has a lot of Chinese on it or if it is 100% English then I wouldn't buy it.
Two good brands are KooKJe and Dong Seo.

That one's actually not too far. :lol Thanks for doing the search, and for the web site info and tips.

There's also a huge Asian supermarket not far from where my husband works. It's in a primarily Vietnamese area, but they have Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Indo[nesian] foods there. Their tea section (boxes of tea bags as well as canned and bottled prepared teas) is phenomenal. I may just have to pay them a visit soon. :lol

:wut: Ummmm, I'll just look for those 2 brands. :lol I can't tell the difference between Chinese writing and Korean, or Japanese, or Vietnamese, or ... well, you get the idea. :wink

LOL. Sorry, didn't even think about that. I think the Korean brands usually have the brand name in English but I'm not entirely sure. hehe

Chinese has complicated, integrated characters. You can't really seperate any letters in them because there aren't any letters. It's a picture word. Like this:

Korean, on the other hand, is a phonetic alphabet consisting of letters:

Japanese borrows from the Chinese with a combination of Chinese characters and a Japanese alphabet:

The first sentence says, "Do you have eternal life?"
The second one says, "Will you be eternally in Heaven when you die?"
Literal word for word translation is:
"You eternal-life have got?"
"You when die in Heaven continous believe have?"

Good thing we didn't translate our Bibles from Korean. We'd have all kinds of advanced revelation!
