I have a quilt and a comforter on my bed. The comforter is for decoration and I fold it back when I go to bed. I use a quilt and I love it. Gotta have a soft blanket to curl of with or sleeping just isn't worth it. :D

I really wasn't aware of the down comforters until we stayed at a friend's house during our move. She had real feather bed mattresses and down comforters topped by other blankets and regular comforters. That bed was sooooooooo comfortable!

I bought a new bed for the master bedroom at our new place that has a mattress that is soooooo cushy that it feels like sleeping on a pillow, and yet it gives amazingly good support.

It's waaaaaaaaaaaaaay beyond a pillow-top . The whole mattress is soft and fluffy. At the very same time, it precludes that "sunk-in" feeling when we lie down in it. What I want to know is how is it going to be in about a year after having a bazillion pounds on it for so long.:lol::lol::lol:

The mattress alone was over a thousand bucks, but supposedly is worth it. We'll see, won't we?

Hope it works out for you. What kind is it?

You have me there. I have to check it out and get back to you. So far what I see and feel with the thing is that it is well worth the money. :D It's the longevity in any high-dollar item like this that always makes me wonder, though. My attitude lately is to buy the finest quality possible, and then we should be able to trust with confidence for long-term reliability. Hers's hoping.

My wife and daughter went and tried this thing out at the store and followed my advice to get what they really and truly liked. I told them not to skimp on the price and they didn't. I told them that I'll pinch pennies somewhere else till Lincoln squeals in pain.:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
