I'll vote "winter" though, if you must choose a seasonal name. Sounds more like a "real name" I guess than "Rain".

:sad Well my husband after saying he'd see if it grew on him, said NO to any hippie names LOL. So I don't spose the poll matters anymore. I love the name Rain, and I've heard it several times. I also love Winter. It didn't have to be seasonal, it was just names I liked. He picked the Suzanne bit, and I don't like it, so that's why we were looking for another second name. But now he said he'd rather ditch Suzanne altogether than have a "hippie" name before it.

I don't see anything hippie about names like : Rose, Lily, rain, winter, star (my sister's name), angel (my neighbor's real name) etc.

What is hippie about rain, rain is something God created that is very nice, without which this part of the country would look like a desert and would be barren.

I don't believe I have ever know anyone named Rain, I thought it sounded very neat, but who am I, just an old country preacher who is completely out of touch with the hippies.

I guess I just relate names to birthdays - April was born in April, June was born in June, even knew a feller once whose name was Vernal - he was born on the Vernal Equinox! How about y'all make a compromise - you can name all of the girl babies and he gets to name all of the boy babies? that sounds fair, doesn't it?

If you are stuck for names, try using the good Old Farmer's Almanac - it always works every time!

Well I've come up with the name that I totally have fallen in love with so now I just have to convince hubby.

Kirra Siobhan Wilson. (It's Irish and it's pronounced Shi-Vohn).

I'm Australian with a lot of Irish heritage so that would be great.

Anyway I like the idea of making Kirra a double name, but not with Anne or Lee haha.

Just PLEASE promise if you make her name "Kirra Siobhan" as a double name that you don't train her its rude if people can't say or spell it right. Otherwise she'll lead a miserable existance!
