I agree with you that it is not Biblical. All believers will one day be the Bride of Christ (right now we are just espoused/engaged to Him); but to apply it on an individual basis (ie. to a single believing woman) does not fit with the Scriptures.

Of course, Christ is to be our main focus; He is to have the preeminent place in our lives - and 1 Corinthians 7 indicates that one of the (ideal) benefits of not being married is the ability to focus more solely on the Lord, rather than on families - however, it is a far cry from that to a woman having Christ as her husband down here.
