We are much safer having laws than we would if we had no laws.

We are much safer having police officers than we would be if we had none.

We are much safer driving on the highways having speed limit laws than we would if they were no speed limit laws.

Nothing on this world will ever be perfect, and we will not see perfection until we enter heaven. Them and only them will there be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.

CowboyPreacher, you'd better go back and look at Kansas law:

8-235
Chapter 8.--AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES
Article 2.--DRIVERS' LICENSES
8-235. Licenses required; city license, when; appeal from denial of license; vehicles registered under temporary permit; penalty; motorized bicycle driver's license. (a) No person, except those expressly exempted, shall drive any motor vehicle upon a highway in this state unless such person has a valid driver's license. No person shall receive a driver's license unless and until such person surrenders or with the approval of the division, lists to the division all valid licenses in such person's possession issued to such person by any other jurisdiction. All surrendered licenses or the information listed on foreign licenses shall be returned by the division to the issuing department, together with information that the licensee is now licensed in a new jurisdiction. No person shall be permitted to have more than one valid license at any time.

8-236
Chapter 8.--AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES
Article 2.--DRIVERS' LICENSES
8-236. Persons exempt from license. (a) The following persons are exempt from the license requirements of the motor vehicle drivers' license act:
(1) A nonresident who is at least 16 years of age and who has in such person's immediate possession a valid license issued to such nonresident in such person's home state or country may operate in this state any motor vehicle in class C or M, as designated in K.S.A. 8-234b, and amendments thereto;
(2) a nonresident who is at least 18 years of age and who has in such person's immediate possession a valid license issued to such nonresident in such person's home state or country which authorizes such person to operate any motor vehicle in class A or class B, as designated in K.S.A. 8-234b, and amendments thereto, may operate any such motor vehicle in this state, subject to the age limits applicable in this state to the operation of any type or class of vehicle operated by such person;
(3) any nonresident who is at least 18 years of age, whose home state or country does not require the licensing of drivers, may operate any motor vehicle in class C or class M, as designated in K.S.A. 8-234b, and amendments thereto, for a period of not more than 90 days in any calendar year, if the motor vehicle so operated is duly registered in the home state or country of such nonresident;
(4) any person while driving or operating during the hours between sunrise and sunset any farm tractor or implement of husbandry, from the farm residence to a field farmed in connection with such farm residence, or from one farm field to another.
(B) No exemption granted by this section shall apply to any person while such person's license to operate a motor vehicle is under suspension or revocation.

So, the only way you can legally drive in Kansas without a driver's license is if you're not officially a Kansas resident and you don't live in Kansas more than 90 days a year. It seems, therefore, you are in violation of state law. And since having a driver's license does not in any way violate Scripture, you are violating Scripture (Romans 13).

You are correct I also found that last night after more searching I've been wrong before and am not to proud to admit it. I have already made arrangements for someone to come pick me up today to take care of stuff, at least I can still legally drive my Truck to take care of the farm/ranch stuff until I get an answer back from my local Sheriff on how I can obtain a Drivers license without a SSN. I cannot get a SSN because that would be comitting a federal felony in my case so I will just have to trust God to work it out for me and If I can't drive anymore then He'll provide something else for me he always does.

Because of the some of the paper work I have filled with the Social Security Department under The UCC (Uniform Commercial Code) applying for a SSN in my case is viewed as intent to defraud the Gov't.

Not a problem though I have an answer from my local Sheriff.

8-234a
Chapter 8.--AUTOMOBILES AND OTHER VEHICLES
Article 2.--DRIVERS' LICENSES
8-234a. Definitions. (a) As used in the motor vehicle drivers' license act, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them herein:

(1) "Drivers' license examiner" or "examiner" means a drivers' license examiner of the division of vehicles or any person whom the director of vehicles has authorized, pursuant to the authority granted by this act, to accept applications for drivers' licenses and administer the examinations required for the issuance or renewal of drivers' licenses;

He said come in tomorrow and he will approve the application for a DL to me without the SSN. I'll walk out with a temp piece of paper until my real one arrives. Glad I got to know him when we first moved and have continued to build on that. So now I need to seriously research kansas driving law. Because ignorance of the law is no excuse.

Actually, federal law now prohibits Social Security numbers on driver's licenses, which is a relief. They can be used for identification purposes, to prove who you are, but the number is not to appear on the actual license. Of course, if you don't have an SSN, you won't have to worry about that.

Good luck, C, and I'm glad you didn't get into any trouble for not having a driver's license.

In Wyoming I never had to have a DL I petitioned the Governor for an exemption and I had the letter from the Governor that I carried. I never even thought about it when we moved here because I still have my residence in Wyoming and I'm back and forth all the time. I should have, it was my responsibility.
